yeah that makes a lot of sense, that would be less work to change the mechanics for solo play.
This was the opposite of what you said in your last post. Made it seem like the xpac will have nothing to offer aside from rune words.
I’m not sure the DC will fail. We don’t have any stats on how people will receive it aside from the “85% of people play solo” article which doesnt elaborate on why. I’m not compeltely disagreeing with you though. I’m looking forward to the DC and group play mechanics but I see it as Bliz experimenting with the game type more than anything.
I also think this xpac will bring back more people than ever because this will be the largest amount of core changes the game has received.
You are far from the majority. They don’t want you and your lonely band of soloists to be the only people playing, They want the game to be successful and for that to happen, they have to cater to more people.

Yep. The new campaign and zone is why I bought the expansion. I want to see where this storyline goes and I cant wait to play it with my eternal main. Everything else is pretty much base game improvments with the exception of runes and the new class. And frankly, I could care less about runes. Never understood the appeal nor why some D2 players are so hard up about that feature.

Im not trying to be rude… but not a single arpg gamer plays an arpg for the “story” you fall into the category of super casual and theres nothing wrong with that right?
Being in an arpg forum talking about the “story” is like me being in your wow forum talking about “farming the same boss for 16 hours” its just silly

The funny thing is that when the stats show that 80% of the players play solo, this is Blizz trying to change us for “our own good.”

Are you really this thick? Many players play WOW never engaging with the story just powering through dungeon runs so they can do the Mythic+ and raids end game content.
Likewise, there are players who do play ARPGs and care about the story.
But the fact that different people enjoy different things about the games they play seems to be a foreign concept for you autocratic gamers.
It ain’t about MMOs v. ARPGs just about reasonable, normal gamers and people like you.

I think thats what they tell themselves to feel better… why even argue that your not a casual if your’re talking about the campaign? I bet most of you argueing dont even have a level 100 seasonal character in a seasonal game… which makes you a casual
