"Dance of Knives" and imbuements

I’m almost a little afraid to ask, but does anybody deem it to be unintended that imbuements keep applying while channeling Dance of Knives?

I mean, I’m really glad that they do, as I always struggled with applying imbuements manually during combat, but having them applied constantly, if one manages to channel Dance of Knives for extended periods of time, seems rather “overpowered” from some point of view. At least when comparing it to the need to manually apply them for every other skill, as long as one doesn’t use certain aspects that is…

The whole Dance of Knives design is honestly so weird—snapshot mechanics, stun grenade tagging, attack speed boosting damage. It’s all over the place!

To answer your question: the imbuement stays with DoK because it’s a channeling skill. Now, should the imbuement stay with DoK when Preparation resets the charge? That’s a different question. It could be an oversight, or maybe it’s intentional. Who knows?

The only Rogue Unique reveal that has impressed me in design was Scoundrel’s Kiss. This Unique is up there.

I read something in Iggi’s summary about Shadow Clone, but I can’t seem to find it in the article. Looks like the devs do monitor this forum. I’ll have to be careful about what I say. lol

And yet you won’t. Really tired of the repetitiveness and the lack of any real goals to play for.

Maybe I am just blind or I am completely missing something obvious but… what does this have to do with DoK?

It doesn’t, dance isn’t a mobility skill so who knows

Yea I was wondering if Wave got their skill tags mixed up or something, hence why I asked.

Thanks for the correction. The tags are so confusing and scattered everywhere. DoK is the only one without a mobility tag in the agility skill tree, which is a bummer. I guess the new unique boots might lead to a dash-focused build, similar to the SB evade build.

Dash still has an internal 1 second cooldown and as long as that’s the case we will never see a viable dash build.

The only hope for these new boots is a shadow step build, or maybe caltrops if they forget to remove the mobility tag.

Caltrops can not be imbued.

Nor could invigorating strike, heartseeker, forceful arrow or bladeshift before the coldclip aspect came out, the effect of which is totally analogous to these new boots.

Those new boots are likely for the Shadow Step rogue build. At one time the influencers were crowing um deemed it as a viable possibly meta OP build, but that build got demoted to trash after the season started. I think Blizz really thought such a build should have been top tiered?
