Damage Over Time sometimes heals enemies instead

Rogue poison build sometimes I saw monster’s HP is increasing while I applied poison damage over time on it. Happened with my sorcerer Incinerate Fire Damage Over Time as well.

Apparently it is due to server lag. I was curious about that as well with my poison rogue. After some diging I find that there is some kind of lag mechanic behind that when we aplly fast stacks of DoTs. But I don’t have a precise answer on how it’s calculated and displayed.
But it seems it’s just a display problem. Damage seems to apply correctly in the end.
