Nothing about defending Blizzard , i didnt defend anything . Just pointing out the complainers who say nothing contructive
Example
Crafting - Still a total Joke. Might actually the laziest implementation in a video game.
Maybe add what you want added and how not just say its a joke
Level scaling - Still feels bad to me.
Ok Feels bad why - Nothing contructive here
Bugs - Yup more dupes. Yay.
Again nothing contructive just a winge
Ground Spam - Still way too many ground spammed enemy abilities. Lighting stuff, poison stuff, fear stuff, fire stuff, exploding stuff, freezing stuff, skill blocking stuff, and on and on it goes. You have so many layers of ground spamming garbage its hard to even participate in the mechanics because I can see what the F is on the ground.
Sounds like a you problem cause i dont have issues with my eyesight
Skills and Paragon - Boring. Just boring. The paragon system is just like the itemization system. Nothin excited just more pew pew
Ok how would you change it - Oh wait you didnt say
So you think snarky, condescending, off topic replies are constructive. Got it. lol anyway man you have a good day. I gave my feedback. I apologize it wasnāt constructive enough for you. No need to derail the topic any further. Whole point of the post was to have convo with folks who identify with the issues I pointed out and discuss with them how to improve the game. Again I am sorry you feel the post wasnt constructive. You said your piece. Message received. No need to go further off topic.
But for the record
Itemization - I literally point out examples from other games including D2 of good itemization.
Skills and Paragon - I point out examples from other games of good design, give specific examples of the kind of items I would like to see, and examples of underbaked skills.
So you know, its basically like you didnāt actually read what I wrote.
Yah you are right Regarding crafting I could give more constructive feedback, but TBH it feels like they havent even tried. The system is so bare ATM that they could probably do literally anything and it would be better.
Regarding level scaling, that is an opinion, and an opinion only. The reasons have been argued ad nauseum and I didnāt think bared repeating.
Bugs are bad. This doesnt warrant anything constructive. Test the game and stop this from happening.
Regarding ground spam. You are totally welcome to disagree. But the fact that you dont agree does not invalidate my point. nor does it make this non-constructive. I highlighted the various ground targeted abilities, explained what I feel the problem is, and suggested how to solve it. That is by definition constructive.
Holy frack youāre one annoying frackinā condescending white knight.
OP gave more than enough feedback and heās not even under any obligation to give examples on how to fix it, despite that of course making it more helpful for Blizzard (if they even care).
Heās also totally right about all the ground clutter. Itās a massive problem in PoE and itās becoming an issue in D4. Hell, itās an issue in most modern games lately with the amount of visual cancer, except Last Epoch which seems to be keeping this complaint from gamers in mind.
D4 is still in a bad spot and people are going to continue to point it out, constructive or not or in their own format.
I do think S2 is moving the right direction though. I just hope they double down and pick up the pace a little. To be honest I donāt know specifically how to fix these problems, I am not a game designer.
But I do know that I can go play D2R right now and if a zod rune drops I still jump out of my chair. I never feel that way in D4.
Thats why I gave examples on most of my points rather than tell them how to fix it. Because I really dont know.
I disagree with this statement D4 is the perfect game for someone who casually plays.
Could it improve sure. Examples like leaderboards , crafting system , even something like the cube would be a good addition.
But the game isnt bad in its current state. The market doesnt cater to the hardcore 12 hour a day fanboy anymore. Nor should it
Sure i dont think that playing 12 hours a day is honestly healthy
Streamers i suppose make money doing it but if you playing 12 hours + and have a full time job thats straight up an addiction.
Also if you play that long your going to get to end game so fast no DEV is going to be able to keep up with you content wise and ull dive the forum going no endgame games trash not realising that you need to slow down and maybe see the sun.
I think making a game casual focused his a healthy thing for any game company to do and making a game around a hardcore player would just poison your audience cause i feel alot of ppl would just complain if to play anywhere near the top or endgame system if it required 12 hours min to get there. That a joke and bad game design
Im just curious weather we will ever get some kind of base or are we stuck with these towns we have to slog around in one end to the other every 20 minutes.
Game is hot garbage fun for like 3 days then shelfed for 2 and a half months like wtf lol. They bring us back for a couple days hoping to score BP purchases then go back to drawing board for next season. They didnāt get me this time Iām still boycotting purchasing anything D4 that isnāt an expansion and will remain that way till they make the game fun
