Yep. The entire purpose of an arpg is the loot hunt that makes your character more powerful. All activities or “end game” is just doing the same repetitive cycle over and over again to get loot or aquire xp.
RNG is just pulling a casino slot machine which makes it semi-exciting (I say semi because of D4 itemization and how common everything is).
