D4 Not Launching from Battle.net

I’ve downloaded all the updates for the game before launch and the patch on 10/8 at 6am EST for VoH. The game wont launch from the Battle.net App. I’ll hit play, the button will change to “launching” then approx 20-30 seconds later back to play. I’ve updated all my PC drivers, checked my anti virus, used the scan & repair tool in Bnet; along with uninstalling both battle.net and the game. Still the same error persists. I can see multiple friends playing on PC and Console.

Are there any avenues I need to be taking?

Im having the same issue. And ive had this issue with other season starts and the work arounds ive learned arent working this time around. search for videos, game properties and run as admin has worked in the past and uncheck the fullscreen optimization and re try.

Nothing yet amigo. I’m on my second install of Bnet and the full game right now in hopes that will do something. Will update once its done.

But we all know Bnet doesn’t care how many gigs of fiber you have so its going as fast as it can haha

2nd full install has the game working!

Having the same issue. Ensured Windows and all drivers were updated, whitelisted all Battlenet and Diablo executables in Ultra AV, turned off Windows Defender, rebooted my router, wiped out Battlenet and D4 completely then reinstalled, still getting the same issue with the game not launching when I click Play. Tried running as Admin as well. Have been working on it for 6 hours, have completely reinstalled the game twice. Opened a ticket with Blizzard and got a fairly generic troubleshooting response.

D4 was working fine on my system since initial game launch. Nothing changed between Friday and today other than installing Hatred… which now seems fitting. I think I just want my $63 back now.

I am having the same problem. Will update when I find a fix for mine. Good luck.

I was able to play last night after the 2nd install of the game. This morning the Bnet launcher was having issues with the 3.5gb patch. That eventually did download but now I’m back to the original problem. Click Play->Launch->back to play. Hoping i dont need to spend another day moving through the uninstall/install process for bnet and the game. I am concerned this is more of a bnet issue than the game.

Having the same issue myself. So far, doing a scan and repair has fixed it for me. Seems to happen after “almost” every update. You would think they would have fixed/figured this out by now.

the uninstall->reinstall seems to be the only thing to work on this one!

Same here. SO much for my gaming weekend…
Tried all the tips on the forums
Scan and Repair
Reinstalled D4
Restarting
Changing the .dll file
Update Graphics Card
Turned off anti-virus

Not impressed at all!

And we’re back with another episode of why wont this game update or scan and repair via battle.net! It honestly every other time I go to play the game it wont launch due to a mystery update that says its 220+MB’s and then keeps looping back to update after an error. I’ve now uninstalled and reinstalled the Bnet app and D4 more times than I’ve played the expansion since launch. This was never an issue with vanilla D4. I’m no IT professional, but every indication is the issue lies with Bnet & or the game itself.

Anyone having similar issues?

Same, I am stuck at 3% with error code. I was playing the game just fine till the 11th.

I uninstalled the game maybe 10 minutes ago and after the 3rd attempt of an error to initiate the game download I uninstalled Bnet. Now Battle.net is refusing to install sighting the same “ooops must be an error” message I’ve been getting.

The only official response i’ve gotten from blizzard is contact my ISP.
