POE is just one big Ebay simulator with some pretty pixels on top. And requires Google spreadsheets just to build a character.
So you dont go to a 3rd party website to buy or sell gear? Last time I played it to max level that’s how the game was setup.

I’ve never used a single spreadsheet, I’ve killed all six Uber bosses, farmed t16 maps, and delved to 855. Weird.

Hold on. This may shock you:
Just because PoE is bad doesn’t automatically make D4 (or Activision) good. It is possible for them to both be bad.
Poe is the greatest arpg to have ever existed. They’re only giving us 19 new classes in poe2. Diablo has been out for 20 years and has given us 2.

PoE 2 actually looks and plays as D4 should have.
Anyone saying bad crap about PoE has never played it or is so casual they cant understand it. It has amazing itemization, epic gameplay, you can literally make a fun end game build off most items, trade, community, end game.
But hey, the casuals who will talk crap are probably playing D4 on a console for an hour a day or less and have no idea what an ARPG should be.

PoE sucks and is only popular because it is free. If they had an upfront cost no one would give a damn about it. Played it and hated it.

Good, give Path of Exile a try, it was most definitely fun for me back in 2012 when I started. Now, not so much, but that’s just me. There’s nothing wrong with liking a different game OR different games within the same genre.

The PoE 2’s Ngamakanui Teaser is 1000% clear indicator that D4 came out dead on arrival.
PoE 2 looks so clear and visually sensible that sold me the game. Blizzard does nice art and cut scenes around feces. That’s it. Only good thing about D4 is the Campaign story. Everything else is a slog through swamp 24/7.

I have about 400h in Last Epoch. Great game, endgame needs some work, but they’re actually quite innovative over there on that team. The new trade system they’re working on is probably the best iteration I’ve seen in any arpg to cover all the playstyle bases.

PoE isn’t a perfect game, but it’s far better than this I agree. This will probably be my last Blizzard product. It was their last chance to produce something good for me. This is some watered down garbage. Hardly any complexity and Blizzard is still obsessed with level scaling in all their games.

Got about 400 hrs there too and i will start with a new toon on weekend. LE devs are actually trying out new things and respond to feedback while D4 couldn’t even copy-paste established ARPG-mechanics properly.

I’ll go back to it after D4 season 1 if it doesn’t deliver. Regardless I’ll revisit it at 1.0 as I think it’s the most promising arpg in development. Strikes a nice balance somewhere between the complexity of PoE and the simplicity of Diablo.
