I would like a Titan Quest 2 more
Yet, I have seen and heard people that are currently playing D4 wish they had a spreedsheet coughPoBcough so they can min/max their char’s.
You dont have to learn everything about a 10+year game in a week or month. Enjoy the ride. I felt the same way till I had no other options D3 turned out to be beyond bad. I am glad I revisited PoE and now no other game even comes close. Last Epoch is more fun than D4. lol
Ok so go play PoE and PoE 2 and Last Epoch. Go use their forums too. Why you wasting time here when you can be there?
I’m enjoying my time here. =) cuz the game is boring. lol
The big problem with PoE is that it is balanced around a trade economy, but then to trade there is no AH or automatic trade. You have to message people, most of whom won’t reply. Then meet them in game and trade manually. It is terrible and takes ages.
For me it is a game breaker.
Apart from that it blows d4 out of the water.
I’d play that too 2020
While i have many thousands of hours in PoE, and spent quite a hefty amount on it, the game is so overly complicated without the need to, having 10 tabs open with various trade windows and PoB isn’t fun for me anymore, but their itemization is bar none (again complicated but still).
I will try PoE2 that’s for sure, and if D4 doesn’t shape up ill probably spend more time there then here.
Play SSF.
I havent had no problem with trade system. Though for the first time this season someone did try to scam me.
10 years of more and more gambling mechanics added to the crafting system for the “dedicated”. Let’s face it, the system of that game is like a manual book everyone need to read so they can progress.
It’s over complicated, and so rinse and repeat each new season. Create a new character and run through the same story mode, again, and again.
Not to mention the overly-tuned crafting system only rewards the extremely lucky (we’re talking about a mirror drop, or string of ears) or the people that spends 8 hours each day juicing a map hoping to get lucky so they can trade items for currencies to craft anything that can be consider good.
That is not a game, it’s stale and boring catered for the gambling addicts.
…then go play PoE. This isn’t an airport, we don’t give a ish what you’re doing or who you are.
Ok, if you say so.
You have the crafting system all wrong. I’m sorry you couldnt get into it. Maybe d4 crafting system is more to ur liking.
It’s not terrible, but it’s not great.
But for the longest time, it was the only ARPG fans of the genre could actually sink their teeth into. That’s why it’s as popular as it is.
I think GGG is aware of the issues with PoE, which is why we’re getting PoE 2.
Go play that then… personally I think poe looks old and over complicated. I didn’t like it.
What have you crafted there? Mirror tier item? Or some 1-2 exalt worth of crap? You tell me if that system is good when all it does is relying on 1% of this for an affix, and 6% of that for an prefix, if failed, repeats until everything is prefect enough to move on to the next stage. All uses exhalted orbs btw, comparing those to a unique drop rate from d4. And each gamble takes 2 just to keep the original stats.
You dont know enough about that game to claimed i have it all wrong. You’re either a nub or some guy that spent his life farming for those currencies.
In 2024. Why are you all acting like it’s right around the corner?
- Why are you worrying about Mirror tier gear? you dont need that type of gear to clear ALL content.
- the use of exhalted orbs was like a year ago.
- if crafting was easy we would all have D4 crafting system and no thanks. I would like to use my braincells just a bit.
but, please keep tell us how poe is terrible. lol
Well I hope you enjoy them while I enjoy Diablo 4. I tried PoE and it wasn’t for me. Given you don’t like Diablo 4 though and I do, our taste in games is different.
Best of luck with PoE and PoE2.
I would love to see both TQ2 and GD2!
There were others around. I still stand by Grim Dawn being the best arpg of the last decade. It’s a shame it got abandoned by Crate (still gets minor patches of balance, but that’s it).
And no, GGG either aren’t aware or don’t care. They have neither shown or said anything of the sort and PoE2 is doing nothing to change the fundamental flaws in its design or their design philosophy in general. 90% of that game needs to be cut out at this point and redesigned. That abomination of a talent web needs to hacked apart and streamlined. Itemization needs to be better with less redundant and pointless stats.
I have zero faith that game will be any better when they have shown no interest in actually BEING better.
Most of the competitors PoE had came in the latter half of the last decade. During that time, PoE was virtually uncontested. While Grim Dawn released in 2013, it released as an alpha. It’s difficult to upsell a game in alpha.
