Guys, it is clearly that the way you are implementing changes to the game is not working, why to continue to do the same without expecting changes. are you guys using SCRUM to bring changes to the games, because that thing it ain’t going to work.
Tha expansion is short to be worth the price. almost a full price game.
You can make expansions for content and new classes and people will pay for them.
But do not make expansions with mechanics that that will leave your own game obsolete to put pressure to make people buy the expansion. Profesionaly is does not look good, you are playing with your loyal game base intelligence.
do not destroy the items of the players that often, this is a looter, items are the main focus
it is fine to focus on a season game rather than a looter game, but leave the eternal game part playable at least, if not just take it off the game(radical though to show the point).
I love D4 and it hurts that for some reason the management team does not want to take of it. you are letting a free to play beat you in your own playfield. Do something, wake up!
Make 2 viable sets for all classes,
only put behind paywalls history content and new classes, no put behind paywall gameplay mechanics or special dungeons,
you can make way more money if you do things right
Management simply will not take the risk on anything like this. Revenue is the only consideration. If that drops too far they get shown the door. I am sure the coding team has lots of ideas but management won’t let it happen.
To them the game is a sales tool. All they need is to get the sale and due to their policies it’s almost impossible to get it back. This will not stop until players stop falling for it.
SCRUM is edgy, it provides a convenient excuse to rush something into implementation, and if it fails, they just call it another SPRINT. such an edgy term to cover up incompetence while fixing the mess they created.
