Yeah AAA gaming (AAAA ‘meme’) gaming in general is all marketing. A good product sells itself and doesn’t require heavy marketing. Blizzard just milking as much as they can out of the franchise, along with their other franchises before a new gaming company rises (hopefully soon) and takes away their throne.
