I know this is a weird topic but I need your opinion… My friends moved to some other game which probably is worse and say D4 endgame is the Forums. I refuse to play that game because I promised myself I would keep Sanctuary safe as long as I draw breath. They said that the game is very fun and I should play it with them too. I asked for any peer-reviewed paper from a credible scientific journal which backs their assertion, but they were able to provide none. I investigated a bit and it seems that D4 actually has higher review scores by credible gaming review institutions, which calms me down a bit. Should I ditch my friends because they have committed blasphemy against Blizzard and D4, or forgive them?

Both games have cake. POE2’s cake is delicious and satisfying with deep layers of flavor to tantalize your tastebuds.
D4’s cake reminds you of the small piece of cake you got on your school lunch tray, very nostalgic. But if you bit into it today all it would taste like is disappointment.
You know which one to choose…you know.

It depends on you. If you like D4, you think it’s perfect. That’s where it belongs. The other game seems good to me. I like the slower combat than just pressing a button and blowing everything up.
-I would like the middle ground. I hope D4 improves because I don’t want to have to play the other game. I prefer the environment of D4 than facing giant wasps and grotesque creatures. How good it is to kill demons.

Its just a game. you have to do what you want. D4 does not care or reciprocates any of the loyalty that you show to them. Be loyal to yourself and your friends.

There is nothing wrong with trying a different game and deciding for yourself if it’s fun. It doesn’t mean you can’t still play D4 whenever and as often as you like. One should always be open to new experiences.

I applaud the dedication to RP but as the only thing that matters in D4 is quick profits and statistics to prop up ill-considered ideas. My advice is to keep your friends and explore your options. Until their priorities change nothing else will.
