I rarely pay full price for a game, and yet, for this one I paid extra, just for the early access.
I really should have waited.
If we continue to reward companies for releasing unfinished games, they will continue to do it.

Obviously varies by person.
For me personally $1/hr = I got my $s worth at least. Maybe a game didn’t live up to what I had hoped for but if it broke that mark then I consider it to be “worth it” personally.

I just got an email from battle net that says I can save 67% on D4, WoW, dragonflight, CoD and more.
Pffft… D4 has really soured my impression and view of blizzard. I won’t be buying any of their games.

Path of Exile, its free, its in a great state, and tons of awesome content, no need to wait for multiple sequels of an IP to maybe one day get a game as good as the second one.

that really depends on the game and your expectations of it, i was hoping diablo would be the next game i can play for hundreds or 1000+ hours and have fun trying different builds etc, but i played 90 MISERABLE grindy hours and gave up when i realized that i hadn’t enjoyed the journey one bit, and said journey actually finished at the campaign as there’s nothing else to do besides the same nightmare dungeon 10,000x. baldurs gate i don’t expect to get 1000 hours out of, but i’ll probably play it through 2-3 times with different parties and picking different options and be satisfied with my $50. D4 could have been free and i’d still feel i just wasted my time, that’s the difference.
