theres no reason to not have pvp in a game that has always been a pvp game, except d3 because the guy that ran it into the ground was a pver and failed massively.
the creators of diablo wanted it to a be a multiplayer, online, mmo type, pvp, and pve game.
why?
the whole game is fomo
dont do seasons? fomo.
dont play on top tier difficulty? fomo.
dont want to farm uniques? fomo.
dont buy the battlepass? fomo.
that whole game is fomo.
lol says the guy that doesnt pvp.
sorry man, thats not how pvp players do it. we go there to kill.
which makes it the most interesting!
you can be spawn killed in pve too lol, you dont have to rez at your corpse. you dont have to be spawn killed, youre literally choosing to do it.
you cant do that in D4, why are you making up scenarios that cant exist?
i’ve experienced all pvp types, i love pvp. you know what happens when im getting camped? i leave. like any sane person.
Because, ultimately, PVP’ers want to PVP. Blizzard has decided to put monsters in the PVP zone so it doesn’t feel like you’re giving up loot and XP opportunities to PVP. That creates a big problem, though, because it incentivizes people who don’t want to PVP to go into PVP zones. That’s usually a recipe for a lot of drama.
what did i just read ?
it has some pvp features but it’s definitely not a pvp game.
it’s like saying smash bros is a home run game simply because it has a home run contest mode.
or that zelda is a fishing game or that pokemon is a beauty contest game simply because there’s one mini game about this
This is needed, allowing all areas of the overworld relevant. The fix for this is to have set level targets at the end game. This allows players to have a goal and compare their power to as they gear up at end game. Diablo 4 is doing that.
I don’t care about the fluctuating power a character has while levelling up but I am not disagreeable to tweaks in this regard. Like after X level in this area, creatures are always Y levels below you.
Increased player freedom versus an insurmountable wall of bots? All I know are that bots drive me crazy while some trading restrictions don’t. If the bots are too annoying and the game is too pay to win, I will leave the game along with many others.
So pick your poison and have people leave no matter what.
I am fine with gear being class oriented. Not all gear is class exclusive mind you. So this point isn’t even fully correct.
Don’t get too caught up in past gaming conventions for colouring of items.
Disagree, it is not the most important aspect of the game. I’m usually a hard core pvp’er and it would be wrong to balance or focus the game on this aspect.
If you try to troll, you suck at it.
If you are serious, then, my dude, get a grip of reality!
If you get spawn killed in pve you just lower the difficulty but if you get spawn killed in pvp you have no option but to pray you get out of the same phase as the griefer.
Diablo was never a PVP game. EVER.
It was never the main point of the game.
Have you even played the beta? Druid was absolutely bad unless you get the perfect set of items to finally do SOMETHING while Sorcerer and Necro were GODS. The balance was completely off.
In PVE it does not matter too much, especially since you can just finish all content on any class using any kind of spells, the clear speed will be the difference. BUT IN PVP if your class is bad, that’s it, you’re done for. This game will most likely have damage numbers that far outweighs our hp pool.
Wanna talk about pvp in D2? Even in D2 everything pvp related is a one-shot and people using the teleportation skill with Enigma.
I have not played D3 but I am pretty sure hitting for BILLIONS while the HP pool is not even 1 million will not be solved by “you deal 7% of your damage in pvp” type of balancing.
Thank God the devs do not listen to delusional people like you!
the essence of diablo is loot, pvp, and multiplayer. thats the original vision, and you can see thats whats kept people playing the originals for 24 years =D
