Complete Battle Pass is $28

Wow. What kind of gourmet pizza are you ordering? That’s usually two large pizza delivered. Maybe with a 2 liter.

Including “delivery fee” and tip? Caaaaap.

It is obvious they are doing #2 (pun intended). At least weeding out those who don’t make purchases. “Only 10% will reach T4” sound familiar?

I have thought about #1. You can easily think this way with the way things are going. You get called a conspiracy theorist by a few dozen random internet people for even mentioning it.

The typical large corporation mindset is milk it for all it is worth as fast as possible then move on to the next gimmick. So, it’s really not a stretch to have this idea. They don’t care about the product just convincing you to buy it. After that? What?

We have collectively forgotten to heed the lessons of “Caveat Emptor”.

I can live without wings and a pet. So I will only be doing the $10 version. However I think it is really bad form the way the industry keeps trying to nickel and dime everyone.

Especially after Baldur’s Gate 3 came out with none of this crap and was pretty much universally praised for it.

(I’m not picking on you) - I’m highlighting this reply as evidence of a demographic Blizzard is targeting. Players who think of the whole MTX scheme as an outright scam, or as an affront to good game design - or as capitulation on Blizzard’s part in failing to produce a quality game with the same level of attention as they craft the MTX shop - often fail to recognize that there are other players who might also be unsatisfied with game development and maybe deeply unsatisfied with MTX schemes (see above), but who will still buy into it.

And they might be a majority of the player base (if Rod can just flash the right skins at them, in the right format, and at the right frequency). Marketing works.

To be honest, I don’t think that 30 bucks for someone here will be any serious amount, and for me, for example, the question is rather not about the price, but rather that it is simply unethical to have paid expansions in a game for 100 bucks and at the same time have a paid bp once a quarter…

In my opinion, it would be much more fair to have only 2 of these 3 options, without even going into the details of the quality of this game.

I already paid for the game and expansion I do not spend money on the BP nor the shop, others can do that of they like.

players are running away and the manager has to reach his metrics. only solution is to raise the prices.

I’d rather have the Pizza. Way more value.

I’ll buy it. No problem in buying the battle pass, never did , never will.
(Unless the skins are nasty looking). :eyes:

There is nothing unethical about offering something completely unnecessary for sale. You dont need to buy a BP.

Yep. Including those as well.

$28 for a complete Battle pass…well Blizzard is becoming a Chinese game company.

Dont buy it. Battlepass is optional.

Honestly none of the battle pass cosmetics have ever looked good anyways.

Save your money and just buy the Berserk cosmetics instead of the battlepass. Especially if you play Barbarian or Necromancer… if you play any other class save your money

Noone said it’s not overpriced but as long as it contains cosmetic only players can choose not to buy it and their gameplay won’t be interrupted.

In general I agree. But this isn’t quite that… you don’t buy a BP you buy platinum. Until now Platinum let you buy the BPs for 300 per season. Now it costs you 800 per season.

They have massively devalued the currency players bought before this change was known about with basically no warning.

So sure, going forwards people choose whether to buy more platinum based on how Reliquaries now work. That’s fair. But it definitely doesn’t seem fair to those who previously bought platinum which is now worth much less.

BP was an easy ~$3 purchase for me every season after the initial investment. I’m still going to play one character this season, but I won’t be purchasing the BP anymore. It’s a sad state of affairs that the BP seemingly got more work done to it than the base game for the seasonal update.
