Combat-oriented Pets (suggestion)

Remember, how the spider worked in season 3?
Here a trailer for people, who didn’t play:
Diablo IV | Season of the Construct | Gameplay Trailer - YouTube

The reason, why some people didn’t like it, was not the pet itself, but rather that the potential it could have, was not realised, and it felt a bit shallow.

However, I think, if this was an evergreen system with our new pets it could have a lot of potential to be fun, and introduce more depth without it feeling overwhelming. As an evergreen system it could be balanced and improved over time by adding new mechanics to it, potentially even seasonal.

No I don’t even like the current pet we have. Pets need unbreakable permanent Stealth.

This is coming in the expansion. Mercs

Similar to Followers in Diablo 3, players will be able to enlist Mercenaries who will follow them around and assist in a number of ways.

Judging by this first image alone, it appears the Mercenaries will fall into one of four different archetypes. Each will have unique abilities and skill trees that will develop as these powerful allies progress alongside you. Those archetypes will likely include the following:
The tank-like Mercenary in the center stands proud among the four with a tall shield in hand that appears eerily similar to Diablo 2’s Tower Shield. We’ll have to wait and see what his Unique ability is and whether or not he can heal or just tank stand-in and take damage.
The bearded Mercenary dressed in green far-left holds a bow and arrow and is likely our ranged archer. Diablo 3’s Scoundrel Follower was able to CC enemies with blinding powder, so it is likely this Unique ability will do something similar.
The shortest of the four with horns, reptilian tail, and hooves holds fire in its hand and is likely our ranged magic caster. This Mercenary likely has some connection to the Mage Clans.
The other horned Mercenary standing far-right who’s covered in blue tattoos and is holding a one-hand weapon in each hand appears to be a berserker Mercenary.

Oh I found it. Interesting! I hope they are gonna be an actual gameplay mechanic, and not just a replacement for going with a group. I guess my suggestion is not relevant then, but would have preferred the pet xd. Anyway, this is great too.
