From what I read it is quite confusing and built to generate more revenue. Each piece of the amor set is locked in one of the chests. You need to purchase Premium, and seems to be the same as before

I don’t understand why it’s so confusing. You can either pick and choose which reward sets you want to unlock, or you can unlock them all for the same price as before. Then you kill monsters for the currency to earn the rewards.

Battle Pass looks ok, and you can save some favor for the next season. Not a huge fan of required T4 to get the season pet. Not a big deal on the last few ashes, but to me, looks like you have to play the busted build of the season to complete journey. Wasn’t too thrilled for S8 to begin with. Less thrilled with this update.

Tbh I was lying to myself before when I said I’ll only play, if berserk content is not only cosmetics. I’ll probably play anyway for some time

Did you miss the part you must complete objectives to earn These red, circular tokens called Favor Tokens are how you unlock items from a Reliquary. Favor can only be earned by slaying monsters and completing quests.
Meaning if you are unable to complete something in whatever required level T3, T4, etc. you won’t earn Favor and you will have paid to obtain nothing.
I guess that is “easy”

Since Battle Pass Reliquaries are available for Eternal Realm players
I would never buy a battle pass, and dont understand why anyone else would, but it has always been the obvious move to untie them from the seasons.
Then Blizzard just need to add the Season Journey system to Eternal too (with its own tasks etc. designed for Eternal of course), and have all content available in Eternal during the same time as it is available in season mode.

I still have the unused battle pass token from the “early access” shenanigans at release. Couldn’t even bother clicking on a button to get it, so bing points are likely not happening either (whatever they are).
You’re confusing season journey with reliquary/battle pass. There are no specific tasks for reliquary. You pay to unlock reliquaries and then you play the game (kill monsters and/or complete quests) to earn the unlocked rewards.
The full patch notes will come later, this is just the teaser for the new stuff.
No, frankly I don’t think I am… In the Reliquary you don’t see objectives/tasks to obtain red Favors to purchase/unlock your reward so I don’t think either one of us can adequately answer that question today.

Read the article again. It tells you exactly how to earn that favor currency. When you do, you’ll see it says exactly what i said. There is nothing that suggests earning the rewards through gameplay will be any different from the battle pass system. You’re just making up reasons to be mad based on your insistence on finding a reason to be mad.
You win… That is exactly what I’m doing especially since I don’t care as I don’t play season since S6 and won’t play this one. However, it doesn’t tell you “exactly” what you have to do; it says complete quests…

Yeah, I know. They just forgot to make all the changes blue and don’t show the stats from before. No further improvements to Hail of Verglas. The new aspect got a little stronger and will probably replace another generic aspect like Conceited, but I guess they haven’t touched Piercing cold.
And no mention of adding raven trees to helltides, yet.
We won’t know if the cost is the same until we see how much platinum you get in the Belial reliquary. We got 700 plat back in the premium BP before, for a net cost of 300 plat per season. I’d wager the net cost will be more than before because they will not give away 700 plat in a free reliquary.
S8 will be the same cost for me because i have my platinum from last season.
We know the free reliquary has 200 platinum. What we don’t know is how much will be in the paid reliquaries. I’m expecting it’ll still be the same amount as before if you open all 4. If not, then i’ll have to decide if it’s still worth it in S9.

If we get the same amount back between the four reliquaries, I’m fine with it. The only thing to decide for me is whether some wings and a pet is worth 1800 plat. I’m leaning towards nope but I think everything in the shop is stupidly overpriced so I may be biased.
