The last stage of the season journey requires you to wear a piece of chaos armor to complete it and they are all T4 activities . I’d like to be able to finish the season journey. I don’t care about leaderboards or pit pushing but I do want to finish the season journey. So far I’m around 20 drops and not a single thing for my build.

Play chaosly! Just play, and try to build with w/e 4GA chaos you get first! if u get some , obviously

Pretty sure, the Chaos Mythical Concept would work very well indeed =)

i guess it depends on build. least with me raven druid i just took a random chaos armor; even though it wasn’t part of build and manages to complete all chapter 7 with no problem.
I may just do this as well. Putting on chaos boots won’t be build breaking

It absolutely is an issue, since it’s one of the core features of the season so interacting with it is the entire point. Don’t be dense.
Now how OP could view this is as an opportunity to craft a build around chaos armor they find rather than make the build and hope for a specific drop.
J/k most uniques and potential builds are absolute trash. I feel OP’s pain.

god forbid there are things you want but cant actually get.
whenever you are “happy” with your gear then the game has failed imo. unless you are the top 0.001%
There should always be the next thing you want the next upgrade, thats what fun

Ummmm no. The game economy is complete garbage as is and people ask for ridiculous amounts of gold for plain uniques. After 6 hours of playtime I was 60 with about 75M gold…
… how does one afford the hundreds of millions (and soon to be billions) of gold that people are (and soon will) be asking for items? They buy the gold of course.
Yep… I’m playing a lightning sorc build (Thanks Roxy) that revolves around the Vox staff and basic spells. It’s insane as is… and assuming I get the 4 chaos items I need to drop it will be even more insane.
The chaos perks (in my case mana shield) are the flavor of the season as well as the chaos gear. I’m doing just fine with the perks and no chaos gear (yet) but assuming I get all of them to drop it will make a great build even better. Still… not required IMO. The perks are the game changer. I’m pretty much immortal with mana shield right now. Haven’t died since I got it… knocks on wood

It’s not very hard to get the items you need. It’s only been a week and I am one mythic away from having everything I need. People are just lazy these days.

You must be new to D4 lol. Gear progression stops dead very early compared to content and there isn’t compelling content that needs anything close to min/maxed gear.
It simply does not support the playstyle you’re suggesting.
Chaos Armor is secondary to the Flavor of the Month Bug. Even if you have the best Chaos Armor you can get, you are still no match against the flavor of the month.
But if we are comparing both flavors one without good Chaos Armor and one with good set, then yeah it matters.
The point OP is making is that players were looking forward to trying new build options that chaos armor makes available.
Not whether playing without chaos armor is an option.
What we dint realize is that we need items to make a build work like fist of fate lucky hit for example. You cant just get a chaos item and immediately use it all the time. This means you have to play chaos tetris to get to use ur items because you need them all to switch them all around. I never could get fist of fate chaos pants which meant I couldnt use chaos kilt in glove. So I just sat there feeling bad the entire season. This would have been ok if these items were permanent as this system seems better suited to eternal than season. I dont even need chaos to do anything now. The time for these to help me is over.
What could have helped here is an ultra chase item. Mythical chaos item. These have 2 GA min with other affix max and they can go in ANY slot. They are wild with picture of a joker. This would have given me some hope.
They also needed to make these items permanent.

Well, I’m running full chaos, as in, I will build completely in a chaotic way, depending on w/e great chaos i get first
I think, its what makes it fun, I have no idea, how i’ll end up playing
And since, content is not THAT challenging with all our powerr, anything can work
I am currently using four pieces of chaos armors in my build. Almost all were amulet based. Don’t think I will need any mystic gear this season. With the mana shield chaos power, it is like a tank-mage. I am loving it.
Perfect example of wanting the game to get even easier.
Is it not enough that you get to end game like 3 days but also get all the BIS in 3 days as well. Cant we have some items to chase???

Even if chaos armor is modified, I’d like to see it carried forward. Adds a new aspect to character design that makes the game more fun and playable
