Cannot complete "A Taste of Power" quest

Hey!

I cannot complete one of the seasonal quests in Diablo 4 season 12, which would give me a skill point so it’s quite important.
I played in a party of 3 when we started the “A Taste of Power” quest where the Butcher has to be killed. I entered the Butcher’s lair via a teleport to my team member. We killed the Butcher but my quest did not complete, and now when I enter the instance the Butcher is not there, simply cannot complete the quest.

Please advice how to complete, I would lose a skill point without completing the quest.

youd expect it not to be an issue considering the company has years of experience making games, somewhat upto date software and supposed testers. this game seems like its ran on diseases. there optimizations suck making the game unbearably laggy. alot of QOF features youd think woukd be first thought yet isnt. and the game being gimmicky. no wonder people say its the worst one

I have the same issue. He does not spawn for me after my party member killed him. I am stuck on the objective “Kill the butcher”,

Same, joined quest Midway through killed the butcher and now I can’t complete a taste of power.

I left the game during the fight, solo. Logged back in and same problem, I enter the abattoir and it is empty.

Same here i got DC`ed during the fight and now he wont spawn back in.

Same here, we were there as a party of 4 and just 1 from us completed it, others have it bugged..

Pls I need a fix for this. I am level 60 and I still can’t continue the season quests

i was just able to complete it by joiniung a buddy of mine that had just started and when he got there i was able to port in and kill him with him which then progressed on.

i dont know what to do either im stuck. im just done with the game atp fed up

i believe i know a fix. well rather the issue. so he only spawns once in that aren. so you must kill him elsewhere for example in dungeons. thats probably what it refers to by killing the butcher. it might work killing him anywhere

Same issue here. They just need to make a way to drop that quest and restart… like every other quest in the game

I had the same issue but I waited it out for 5 min and did something to keep me busy and it allowed me to eventually move forward but now I cant use half of my fighting abilities at all and its been over 12 hours since I defeated the butcher as well as its been at least 8 hours since I was last in the game.

I was able to solve the problem for myself by joining a friend who had this quest to complete. That way I could finish it.
