It sure is crap design and even if there are a few builds that don’t need all three they are few and far between and generally not optimal.

and following some of the guides there. It works very well for me, i increase my pit lvl from 63 to 73 with no problem at all, and that is before patch today when all will be easier. I still do not try higher lvl of pit because of lack of time, but lvl 73 was surprising easy.
Enchantments are not nearly as good as weapon slots barbs/rogues got. I would give up all enchantments to have 3 more items on my sorc.
They don’t play their game, they don’t fix their game, they don’t even test their game.
How much would it cost to hire one microbioboi, to do all the testing and number adjustments? probably nothing for blizzard, and it would take less than a week to balance all classes/core skills to ±20% power level with the same fully optimized gear.
They are lazy and incompetent. I have played minions necros on s0/s1 and it did 0 dmg, now we play sorc and it also does zero dmg compared to other classes. Ridiculous balance from blizz.
I am off waiting for PoE2 and LE season 2-4.
They will most probably postpone the patch today for the end of the week or next week because of the backlash.
They dont care about forums too much. 90% are console players and heavy casuals and they dont even read patch notes.

I agree. I don’t really like the current meta of “grab as many multiplicative damage glyphs as possible”.
I want to see people with 4 boards who take more rare nodes and magic nodes, maxing out glyph per-stat bonuses doing as good as people who go for 7 boards taking the absolute bare minimum nodes to activate each glyph bonus.
Maybe they can give rare and legendary nodes (those outside of glyph radius) a multiplier on the glyph effect.
Otherwise it almost feels like 95% of every board are designed to be traps to make the uninformed player underperform.
I also think they need to rework sorcerer shields. It should feel like you lose signficant damage, if you run both shields. Else we just have 3 spots perma-reserved: Teleport, both shields. Kinda lame. Even all B and C tier builds run those 3 abilities. Same goes for teleport. There should be good alternatives, where we have a “worth” tradeoff alternative for not running tp
Designing teleport as a defensive mechanic is extremly lame from the beginning.
It’s unfortunately not something that is fixed by adding stuff. It could get worse, where we have 3 shields, and spam one ability. Take Ball Lightning build for example. More abilities will just replace Ice Blades in that build very likely.
spamming frost nova + ice shards ench never gets old.

the funny thing is that something tells me that even if sorcs had 5 enchantments slots, they would still be inferior to barbarians. Maybe it’s just a common sense ![]()
enchantments are not good at all for most part, give us 3 extra gear slots, enchantment system can be scrapped for all I care
Totally agree, i can’t use the Tenous Destruction Aspect because no way I will give up Teleport which is the best ability in the game. Teleport should be changed to Mobility skill, not defense.
Only barbs are allowed to be strong apparently. Not sure what kind of balance they want but Ive never seem such bad balance in a video game.
This is one of the biggest problems. They are a glass bee bee gun. They got the glass part, but not the cannon. They do very little single target damage compared with other classes. The barbarian consistently does way more DPS than the sorc. Barbarians “were meant to be tough” not DPS monsters. If you can’t kill stuff fast enough the screen becomes spammed by things that damage you. There are frequent mechanics where you need to kill a blood blister or something like that quickly of face a damage explosion.
I don’t see how anyone who plays all the classes can say with a straight face that the sorcerer is not incredibly weaker than every other option. One person playing a clunky perma flameshield build with awful gameplay mechanics doesn’t equate to a class where anyone who knows how to push buttons can crush everything.
Sorcs need + 1 enchantment slots and atleast + 1 equipment slot. Perhaps give them a 2nd amulet, and a 3rd ring, then would be the “cannons” they were meant to be.
