isnt it microsoft blizz now? but youā€™re right tho

Why do they post that here? Are they targeting the eternal players who didnā€™t buy VoH? Do they realized that they are reading the comments about the state of the game in these same forums?

They want teh moneys.

Not sure Iā€™d like D4, I didnā€™t really like D3ā€™s auction house.

if they give me 15$, ill maybe take a look into voh

I just purchased VoH, not because it was on sale but because I like most of what was presented at the last Campfire in terms of changes and new season mechanics. I might not have great expectations and just be the perfect target for what Blizzard is doing with the game.
I have been travelling around Sanctuary for 1.5 years and I appreciate having some fresh new areas to explore.

Iā€™m back in just due to this sale.

The campaign I thought wasnā€™t very good frankly. Everyone in the entire world seems to love Neyrelle as if she were their own daughter which is bad writing IMO - because the character caring so much demands the player do the same to effectively roleplay, but I donā€™t at all so itā€™s a massive disconnect that removes me from any roleplay experience that might have been there. The game is effectively telling you ā€œcare about this personā€ or ā€œbe engaged with whatā€™s happeningā€ rather than trying to draw you in with compelling storytelling.

story spoilers:

The burned knights I also think were literally pointless to the plot - you could have removed them entirely and had the player journey to Kurast voluntarily and the plot would have been the same.

I also think some of the cutscenes and general pacing of it was absurdly slow. Diablo 4 is a fast game - I swear the length of time the cutscene took when Eru was chanting to open up the first spirit realm gate thing took longer than actually running the dungeon it opened up.

Mechanically the changes from S5 felt a bit confusing - like thereā€™s a lot of adjacent activities between hoards, NMDs, undercity, helltides, realmwalker, bossing, and pit so it was a little overwhelming to know where to start but I think I finally got my head around how everything works now.

I think I like the mercs? Itā€™s tricky cause in D2 they were an absolutely essential part of the player power which I always felt was kind of lame. I like that here they arenā€™t that impactful, but also it sort of seems like a ā€œset it and forget itā€ style thing. I like the current thing I got going with them and I know that messing around leveling them all up wonā€™t really be that impactful even if a new setup is marginally better.

Iā€™m playing SB which I know is very broken right now, but enjoying it enough. I felt like the general difficulty pacing, even on this OP class, is super weird. Like during 1 - 60 everything was kind of a sponge and like nothing powerful dropped at all - then once I hit 60 and got some paragons under me Iā€™m blasting torment 2 pits easier than I could have ever done any content at all on normal difficulty with normal gear.

The acquisition rates of Ancestrals and Temper Manuals is way too low. Iā€™m 60 with 120 paragon and Iā€™m still missing temper manuals. Not even like legendary versions, as in I never have seen any version of it drop at all. I feel like Iā€™m roadblocked and thereā€™s nothing I can do but grind it out. Maybe add manuals to the obol vendor or something idk.

All in all the new activities are interesting, the spiritborn is a fun class to build around, but the general balancing and pacing seems kind of wrong. Iā€™ll be rolling my favourite firewall sorc some other time and based on what Iā€™m reading Iā€™m not in for a good time lol.
