Please revert back to the D3 launch / seasonal starts.
5PM in each region on a Friday so we don’t have to take time off work to experience a launch or season start.
The current world start is rough for certain regions and definitely not convenient mid work week.

Nah, they had more successful D3 season starts then any other Diablo game.

I don’t know. It was REALLY bad, but we have yet to see what tonight beholds. Blizz is terrible with EVERY launch of every game.

This I agree with. Why does a game have to launch at the same time globally? What is the logic behind this?

Regional time is not needed for me, but making these launches on friday/saturday would be much better.
The delay is to make sure ALL PLATFORMS start at the same time, and switching to regional launches would not have changed anything for us right now.
At launch yes, but expansion, not so much.
Remember this is an expansion.
Seasonal launches for D3 were not too terrible.
GG Blizz. Way to go. Wasting my entire evening with waiting, and I’ve got like an hour and change before I go to work. There is NO REASON you couldn’t have sorted this garbage out LAST WEEK! Thanks for screwing me out of my evening. Now I have to wait until TOMORROW evening to even partake.

They could have fixed some bugs once AUS/Asian launched, hard disagree there.

How can we have it so right in d3 launch compared to d4 launch. Waste of time and lost money for some that skipped work to play.
Probably licensing issues. Not for players, but an arrangement Blizzard made to get their game on Steam that they’d launch and have access the same as every other player.
So, you’re wanting a weekend launch, guaranteeing that, when (not if) a Day Zero problem comes up, it’ll be after hours when no developers are available for theee days that also happen to be have the largest user impact.
And bet you want the Devs to work that night and weekend for support, contributing to the decline in quality.
Please don’t push this idea. It’s great if nothing ever breaks, but after 35 years in IT, when a brief stint in gaming development, I think it’s safe to say that nothing ever goes perfectly.

Who cares when it starts, i think tuesdays are fine because there are at least people to fix stuff during the week.

You don’t need to start same second the game releases. Especially for single player game

It was never a truly single player game though, and they’re aspiring to make it more group-centered, so… they may as well get good at orderly releases.
Re: Friday releases… yeah, but when things go wrong, do you want a skeleton crew because almost everyone’s gone on 3-day vacation after “working hard on the release”?
Might be years before the game matures enough to do Fridays imo.
