Boss fights are worse than ever

I’ll say it bluntly - I don’t think the concept of boss fight had anything to do with D4 before this season, because in 99% of cases, any uber boss, except Lilith, died in a split second.

Nah it’s still better this way. Part of the game. Some mechanics you know, some identity of bosses. You come to the boss and you know that you will have to do something, not only smash one finger on a keyboard. No more 1 sec killing bosses. Thank you very much.

If that’s the case, then they should improve the loot to match the challenge.
Not by increasing the amount of items, but by improving their quality.

It’s very simple:
Are they easy to kill? Then the drop should stay as it is now.
Are they harder to kill? Then the drop should be better.
There should be a real reward.

Still, from what I can see, it’s all cyclical.
It’s the same in WoW.
Mythic+ dungeons were easy, then they became hard, and now (at this very moment) they’re becoming easy again.

Blizzard doesn’t seem able to stick with one direction for long.

Not necessary. When you learn mechanics, it becomes much easier.
It was like this with lilith at first seasons. Everybody learned to dodge everything and lilith became easy boss.

Can we have at least one challenging thing in a game. Or we have to be always showered by best loot in a game in the first 7 playing hours of the season?

I’m all for anything that involves a challenge and earning rewards.
But not with a false sense of complexity—when all they do is make bosses immune.

I mean, I like Elden Ring and I never followed guides or builds, but I’ve never felt as frustrated as I do with this game.

I managed to set up a build to be able to ignore all boss mechanics. I do, Lillith, Andy, Belial while eating all the mechanics on T4. It just became a sitting and wait threw the Phase game at this point. They’re an armor to help withe 1-shot mechanic if you’re able to sustain healing.

So bosses are still too easy for some builds.

Yep.

So, I finally figured out Lilith.

You all probably know this, but during the first stage, she sort of cheats. If you have an active skill going, the waves spawn and kill you if you touch them. If you don’t do anything at all, you’ll have about 1/2 a second where you can run through them.

The same with the triangle attack. If you have an active skill going on and the triangle appears, she stomps immediately. If you have nothing, you’ll have 1/2 a second where you can run out of it.

This made it near impossible to pass the first stage with my cataclysm druid, where when I switched to skills that only last per attack, I have little problem making it to the second stage. Because it doesn’t matter your move speed. You can’t outrun certain wave patterns. You need time, which is unavailable for certain builds.

No clue why ppl keep making another thread about the same topic which alrdy been brought up.

We are aware of that some bosses have phases. Blizzard also knows it. Its by design. Does everyone like it? Obv not.

Anyone saying bosses are fine are liars…

The whole “staggering hp for phases” is doodoo

Not sure about all this just yet.

What’s a bigger issue is apparent somewhat reduced boss key availability commented on elsewhere recently.

Unless you’re using dupes / RMT.

Well, that’s different. The D4 world is your oyster then.
