Blood Howl - Heal not proccing when having Nighthowler's Aspect (1.3.3)

It seems the heal from Blood Howl is not proccing when wearing an item with Nighthowler’s Aspect.

I also tested the following:

  1. Removing the item with the aspect on - Heal now procs
  2. Applying the aspect to a different item - Still no heal

FYI, I did not check if the buff from Blood Howl was being applied or not.

I’m seeing the same issue and it did not appear that the crit rate boost from the aspect was occurring either.

yep, experiencing the same. removing my nighthowler’s aspect fixed it. sucks because that aspect is on one of my rings that gives me some pretty huge damage.

Same here. Unequipped aspect and Blood Howl went to working like normal. Tried enchanting a different item with the aspect thinking maybe it was just one item that was bugged, but that did not fix the issue. It’s the aspect itself.

For me, life is granted but no spirit from innate blood howl

Are you using the aspect? For me the heal doesn’t work when the aspect is equipped, whether I use innate or preserving. Without the aspect the heal & attack speed from preserving works fine, but there seems to be a separate issue with innate blood howl as well.

Yes, I am using nighthowler‘s. Removing the item it is attached to is fixing innate blood howl.

Just ran into this as well, Nighthowler no longer heals when using Aspect

I am seeing the same issues.

Looks like it just stops Blood howl working at all. Won’t trigger the Crit buff, won’t trigger the damage from Fleshrender or the Healing.

Removing the Nighthowlers aspect makes all of this work again, damage and healing etc.

Big shame, was really enjoying my Companion build, (even for all its flaws) and I cant even enjoy the pets buffs from this patch!

Yeah, the aspect isn’t working at all. If you use blood howl w/ the aspect, it literally does nothing, outside of the howling animation. No heal, no crit chance buff, no attack speed buff. I think the only thing that works (I haven’t really looked) is killing enemies lowers the cooldown. But it’s only with the aspect on. Aspect off, things are good.

For those wondering or who may have missed it, the bug fix is listed in the 1.4 patch notes. Unfortunately no fix until S4 then, but not like I’ll be playing S3 right now :sweat_smile: .
