Blood Fortify Build, Most Fun!

A tanky build that puts out good damage BUT is one of the most fun to play in the game for me. Damage wise its built around OVERPOWER which is super satisfying AND defensively it stacks FORTIFY as everything you do forts you.

While people look for builds that kill the fastest, I look for builds that are fun and can clear content even if they take a bit longer to kill stuff with.

Edit: Papacracker build linked below, no minions works amazingly well.

Decrepify / Corpse Tendrils / Bone Storm / Blood Mist / Hemorrhage / Blood Surge

Edit #2: I just face tanked a butcher which was 100% death with my previous Golem spec. I did get lucky with neck drop Aspect barrier forming when I use Bone Storm.

Fun, sure.

Viable? Not so much.
By the time youre completing tier25s without getting stonewalled by freezing mobs.
A Bonespear necro of the same level will be breezing through tier60+

Blood needs a laundry list of bug fixes and buffs to work well in an environment that isnt just world content. And not events or world bosses because youre actually useless in both.

Thanks for the insight, I’m still leveling and hope by the time I’m hitting that proverbial wall, Blood would get some love from Blizz.

Wow, gratz on this setup. It’s very close to mine. Here are my changes:

You dont need the corpse generation, altought on masses you would pump up your fortifiy with it, which is however not needed on mass pulls.

Decrepify is better later on (75+) as Iron Maiden is awesome for sustain and gives some extra damage but Decrepify simply adds so much stat value and the cd procs are the key. Allowing perma cc with Tendril on masses.

Don’t miss the attack speed.

Corpse generation on Blood Mist for guaranteed Tendril pull on boss.

Thorns points are whatever, could also go to Hemorrhage or Tendrils or Bone Spirit with the unqie body armor (very recommended)

Drop Golem for extra life, better sacrifice bonus from aspect, more dr, simply better choices with bone storm or reap when it comes to dr. Altough he is pretty awesome early on, I often miss my golem :`)
(pick atleast one blood orb heal for him, if you want to keep him so far)

All in all, pretty decent. Have fun. I did mid 40s maps with lvl 77… so dunno what the previous one really means. t25 could be done blind without hands, t35+ were easy chilly, open world was laughable. But yeah hard crash got me this time, lol.

Anyway. You are a tanky god, an immortal god bond to his own legs to carry him from foe to foe altough having the ability to destroy everything around him with the blink of this eye, sucking the whole life force of every enemy around him and further away, using it to unleash a destructefull blood infused explosion around him, annihilating every foolish oponent staying to close to this manifest epos of of life and blood magic.

And here comes some stat info:

overpower damage
willpower
blood skills
all passives in skill tree

definitly works on overpower. Crit and Vulnerability definitly not.

close/range, on high health, vs low heath, physical dmg I do believe in, but unsure so far. I just concentrate on the above + attack speed, crit chance and lucky hit and pick those atleast in the paragon tree. When i get to high tiers back I will do some more testing

Go crit chance for tendril aspect very good, aswell as the attack speed and sacrifice one.

GO EVERYWHERE HP, best stat by far. Use a shield and a wand or scythe.

Hope it helps you on your epic journey and don’t let the strange people here talk you down, just play whatever seems fun to you  and expirment with it. There is so much to play around and things to discover. Everyone is still trying to figure out how most of the things work, exspecially necromancers^^

Really appreciate the end game insight I WILL do the changes from now!

Edit: Hi, just wanted to say the build rocks! THANKS!

All of the blood skills should heal the way surge and mist can.

What with unique neck? nova for minions is not good?

Honestly THIS is what its all about! I guess I dont understand why others talk trash about builds that are sub par to xyz… who cares?? If you hate life the entire game but can plow through to 100… wtf do you get then???

Enjoy the game. Role play some. Move at your own pace. Play with builds that suit you. If doing the normal content is something you hate and are trying to blow through it to get to level 100 (still not sure why peeps so eager to get to 100), then this shouldnt be your game.

I have my issues. Hope some bugs are fixed and some balance changes come but im not in a hurry for em. Ive got builds to try, diff classes to play and lots of exploring to do still. Enjoying things at a leisurely pace and its fun!

Just want to say thanks for mentioning this build. Started out as minion and it was awful. Tried bonespear next and felt like it was really boring and fragile. This is exactly what I needed. Fun and I don’t feel like I’m having to watch my healthbar!

Guys, it gets even better. Just got the unique amulet Deathspeaker’s. Absolutly blasting with it. Can’t wait to equip my Mendeln farmed from my previous necro. I went with this setup for now:

d4builds.gg/builds/667de00d-04b4-45cb-86fd-ff033953a81f/

Currently doing t13 with lvl 55, no problem so far. My Mendeln is for lvl 69 so I still need to wait, but I think it will be completly out of control when I equip it. I got some emeralds in my shield and helmet. As a subtitute I use the essence on blood orb aspect, but honestly not needed. I will definitly also try out the thorns armor, got a lvl 75 ancient one, with the aoe thorns aspect. So far I tanked a t12 butcher with a rogue mate and my skelettons didn’t even dropped a single health digit, not to mention how my life pool didn’t moved.

Peace out

I used:

Blood surge
Hemorrhage
Blood lance
Blood wave
Corpse tendril, vulnerable
Blood mist or bone prison for vulnerable

Can’t remember sacrifices.

As for aspects, a few worth using, I can’t remember the names, but the effects of a few I remember are:

Blood surge sends out an additional wave
Blood wave launches 2 more waves
Enemies affected by corpse tendril take increased damage and your crit chance (or was it damage?) is higher against them
Blood lance does increased damage based on number of lanced enemies

I only reached 50 a couple days ago and I haven’t completed the campaign to unlock Tier 3. I have others that could be useful, but I can’t remember what they did.
