Blizzard tricked us nicely

I’m worthless because I don’t include myself in the OP’s we? What a horrible way to view someone.

This game being open-world had nothing to do with MMO players but the fact that the biggest and most successful AAA games of the past 10+ years have been open world. Would you call GTA V, RDR2, Elden Ring, God of War, Zelda etc… MMOs?

How many hours did you spend in this game?

And who told you i include you in my posts “we” xd…maybe i include only me and my wife…or maybe my whole 70 clan members…or maybe everyone who feels same with me.who knows…lol what a colourful person you are xd

People feel Bamboozled cause they expected more from a well know developer. They deserve more.

No it’s more so because you feel like you can speak for everyone but the OP. Because your Johnson is probably so big right?

Well you have break our balls with Singularity /Runez/Exxy/TwelveVegans and 3 others in the past 3 weeks…
4k Post the other 3/2k posts and you 1k saying whatever instead of playing your f game…

You haven’t left a single post where you don’t write the same !@$%

I never said I wanted to speak for anyone, I said OP doesn’t speak for me, therefore there is no US.

Sorry but that is absolutely not true.
Imagine there are companies, developer etc. which are able to have games released on all platforms without any real issues.
Some titles get a console port and works fine as well.

It’s more a skill issue.

Yup. We were all sold a shiny bill of goods. I knew this game was unsalavgeable when Blizzard refused to remove the uber uniques obtained via bug. Bad game is bad.

I don’t remember. I played till my guy started the “touring” and I stopped after the first one.

It is the first time I gave up on that franchise. I just can’t press on because it was torturous.

I disagree to some extent. Some good ports from PC to console, or vice versa exist. Apex: Legends for one. Works generally well. Of course there are advantages for PC players, being they’re generally more powerful than the consoles, but you get what I’m saying.

This game, however, is a literal bug fest. A working beta, and each time they seem to patch it, they fix one thing, and three other things go wrong.

Blizzards form of “live gaming” or live update games in general are starting to piss me off. There was some streamer that warned us about pre-purchasing. I think it was Asmongold. We didn’t listen, though.

I had no idea it was this painful for people.

If it’s only a “YOU”, then why have you seen so many other threads?

It’s almost like there’s a multitude of them… omg there is a THEM!!!

With Skyrim that was def true. With this? I dunno maybe. Tell you what though, I’ve been a PC gamer my whole life. If you told me Diablo was a joy to play on a controller I’d say you were nuts. But I tried it, it feels insanely good. I have no idea how they did it, but its fantastic lol

I mean, this point is disproven by THIS franchise. Hate on D3 all you want (…and, yes, I’ll probably agree with many of your points regarding art style and direction, narrative, and the outrageously bad itemization) …but it was actually the console release of D3 that SAVED that game almost overnight. It changed the loot system to loot 2.0, completely revamped the end game, including adding bounties, the gem system, etc. It completely reconfigured drop rates and managed to successfully bring all the classes to a place of general parity at the time, while adding significant itemization and improving the gameplay experience a thousand fold. None of those improvements were available on PC at the time, actually. And it ended up being that the PC version followed the console version’s lead, really, from that point on.

Maybe it’s bad…

Maybe you love it…

Regardless, it’s still around after 10+ years and has a genuinely healthy player base who remain seriously devoted to it.

It’s absolutely reasonable, in fact, to argue that D2: Resurrected has been as successful as it has particularly BECAUSE it was able to also capture the console market and because it’s such an absolutely STUPENDOUS console port. I mean, the game is nearly flawless in terms of its control implementation, additions to the core gameplay (new runewords and uniques), and it looks insanely good.

So, it’s hard to argue that “catering” to the console market isn’t a good (…see: GREAT) choice in terms of profitability and expansion. The console install base remains huge and dedicated. There is no reason NOT to double dip it, especially so when you have a game like D4 where it’s been proven in at least 2 previous iterations that you can very successfully map the game to a controller.

I hate this argument. Baldur’s Gate 3 is releasing on consoles, Elden Ring was on consoles, PoE ported to consoles and PoE 2 will be made for consoles. Blizzard is just plain greedy. They want the most cash, so they dumbed it down to try to appeal to everyone.

Plenty of great console games - this is the result of the money they made on DI. It’s DI +D2.
