Wait until S2 for meaningful changes… wait no, make that S3… oh did I say S3? I meant S4… okay okay, in S5 for real this time.
Jesus Christ this exactly. They’ve known exactly what the issues were since pre-season. Why are we still allowing them to push back meaningful changes later, and later, and later, and later, all while pushing for/demanding more money from us? We bought the game at full price already. It is not OUR responsibility to fund these changes. They released the game in Beta form at full price. It is on THEM not US to make it what it should be. These changes should be implemented on the 23rd regardless of what they have planned. They need to scrap their entire Season 3 concept and focus solely on actual, meaningful, core changes.
So true and the problem is they have had ample time to fix the problems with the game but instead they rather make sure cash shop works 100% and is constantly getting new items on it. Maybe take that cash shop team and put them to fixing itemization and adding in our sets. They can put out each week new cosmetics but they cant fix the game. Hell they cant even have leaderboards working by the time season 3 starts.
Company has become a joke even an indie developer that has only a few hundred people that worked on their game POE and they constantly are pushing out stuff and good ladder content etc. Yet here we are in Diablo 4 waiting literally 9 months for WASD to be added…or 12 months (1 year from release) for their fix to itemization. Like bro these devs think people are stupid they need to get a grip cause they lost many diablo fans over this trash game they put out.
Cash shop needs to be removed, live service model needs to go in the trash cause it clearly isnt a live service when they leave for an entire season broken builds, I wont even get into that problem. They need to put the stuff in the game that we were promised and paid for like sets, runes, runewords, etc.
Aren’t leaderboards starting in season 3? It’s showing on the seasonal announce page, calling it the Gauntlet.
This place is so funny. All I think about is the scene from Willy Wonka, “I want it now!”
No sir it is being added weeks after season 3 has started. So you can say will be apart of at some point in season 3 but you cannot say it is starting in season 3.
Husker was just pointing out that how they have done it many times said this will happen and then it doesnt for 7+ months. Like WASD promised when game was released and we didnt get it. Here we are 9 months later and we are finally getting it.
Actually, I can say it’s starting in, as in within, season 3, because that’s exactly what’s happening lmao. You just linked it.
This comment would be relevant if they didn’t have the past 8 months to do… anything meaningful.
I want it now!!! Lol. Some of you get way too upset over this silly stuff.
No sir you cannot because what happens when it doesnt actually come out in season 3 because they want to say it isnt quite ready and they want to make sure they got it right but they pinky swear promise it will be there in Season 4.
Cause I can tell you they have done this already MANY times over with many things.
I think they screwed themselves (and the players) by releasing too early. Now they have to fix everything that’s broken or unfinished, add basic mechanics and QoL changes, on top of all the seasonal content. Everything they say about listening to fan feedback, reiterating and testing things as they go, adding QoL changes, etc is what an early access game does.
You don’t seem to understand simple concepts so here’s my last attempt. In no way am I acting like “I want it now!!!”. I have in fact been patient and have given Blizzard the past 8 months to make good on their promises for a game that was released at full price but was completely unfinished. They have, in that time, delivered on exactly 0 of those promises, and instead continue to insist longer and longer timeframes before we see those changes.
In no way are my expectations at this point unreasonable, selfish, or entitled. Your attitude however is completely unreasonable. If you are ok with them doing this fine, stay quiet, but don’t expect me to.
Oh man, you cant make this stuff up
Ok, outrage over things that haven’t happened yet (and likely won’t happen). Time for me to take another break from the forums.
That guys a troll and a well know one for that. Trying to have a conversation with him is like trying to talk to a brick wall. He is only here to troll people never once has he added to any conversation that was meaningful. His attitude is that of a minor which shouldnt even be playing this game.
I dont think your expectations are unreasonable, selfish, or entitled. I agree with you that they have had ample time to fix the glaring issues of the game.
See while typing this he trolled you again when you said “they should make these changes now” not referencing at all that you want it now but he still gotta add his trollcents.
Completely sad that dude hasnt been perma banned from forums already.
I understand what you’re saying, but that’s just not how Blizzard’s development cycle works. Not just for D4, for all their games.
All development work gets assigned to a season/content update pack. Some of that work filters down into the main game. In a seasonal model this makes sense to avoid the code delta between the seasonal and non-seasonal versions becoming even more problematic than it already is.
IOW, there’s really no reason for them to develop anything specifically for eternal realm, since the seasonal realm is eternal+content, and eternal will never contain any content not also in the seasonal realm.
I’m sure all of that is clear as mud explained the way I’ve done, but it makes sense from a development cycle perspective.
Honestly I have no issue with things taking time. However, they are making no progress and extending the timeframe over and over again. If the community doesn’t fault them on that and approach them unified saying enough is enough, it’s time to deliver, then those extensions for real changes will just keep getting pushed into infinity. There are literally still bugs present in the game that were there since release. All of the same core issues still there since release. All of the same missing QOL since release. They make extremely tiny/minimal changes then blow the significance of those changes out of proportion, then spend the entire timeframe during and in between campfire chats repeatedly patting themselves on the back for these said tiny changes, as if they believe drilling those miniscule changes at us repeatedly will convince us that they are real progress when they’re clearly nothing.
So, you are saying this is false? I must have missed them! When did the leaderboards get added in the last 7 months. lmk!
The double acceptance of clans needs to be fixed. If someone requests to join a clan and I accept them, why do they have to accept again? They have already applied.
The second part used to be the foundation of Blizzard North - the difference is that when they delivered, they really delivered!
