yes i expect many people like you to be here crying
and all X people are evil, and all X people are bad, and all X people are the spawn of hell.
wow buddy.
id say the majority do want to pvp, i see one post asking for no pvp, and dozens asking for pvp.
Balance for max level 1v1 and simply differentiate between PvP and PvE balance.
Fields of Hatred will obviously always be unbalanced due to groups, but it would be incredibly stupid of them to not add better PvP support as soon as possible.
And a way to make the Fields of Hatred feel at least a bit better would be to mostly put groups up against groups and solo players vs solo players.
There are only 2 PvP zones, so this shouldn’t be that hard to implement (if they didn’t do that already).
Please keep in mind that most of players here, on forum - are just reading. And then there are milions of players who don’t even check forums / news. They just see the game → buy → play.
But ye - I would like a legit balanced PvP area for 2v2 / 4v4 while having all the HoT zone + PvE.
I think certain exploits are going to have them rethinking and, more likely, punishing gameplay for everyone.
I’m thinking twinking and exploiting the bucket system will be the hardest line for them to cross.
Carry groups, bots, or hacks and trading resource kills; there isn’t anything they can do about that. Well, I’m sure it will abuse their sharding, so group hopping will eventually get some mechanic in the game that punishes ALL players with a timer to join groups, which will be kinda funny. ( Similar to the disable button that caused a stir)
At this point, I think there are more people who tested the Diablo beta than there are WoW players, and look at whats left in WoW—nothing but ads for carries.
While I’m excited to play the solo experience rather than the mmo aspect, I’m just as excited to see how ingenious players are at breaking the system, especially in the forced group play areas or encouraged group play areas. (I say group play because that’s what inspires competition and cheating to win in all games.) Because PVP can be so heated and fuel hatred at peak levels, I imagine fields of hatred will accumulate a fair amount of brainplay when it comes to exploits, it might just be the biggest money maker for RMT. Time will tell.
k but who cares, its just cosmetics.
Yes it was. I still remember getting ganked and I wasn’t even flagged.
Is it, or will it be? My take on the interview’s nuance is maybe not.
Why would I be crying about PVP? I couldn’t care less about it in this type of game.
it is 100% cosmetics, and has been listed as much, said as much, and stated as much many times. they’ve made themselves very clear.
I wish it werent the case, having pvp centric gear would be amazing.
what’cha doin in this thread then?
I cannot wait to read the tears about tank builds.
That should tell you all you need to know about pvp. If you have to force it, then it should be optional.
It isn’t just cosmetics, it’s actual gear you trade at the pvp vendors for your dust.
So I expect the bots will find playing in FoH easier than to play in overworld for their gambling for gear currencies, due to only needing to flat kill mobs and players instead of do actual complex/random mechanics (random events like are in overworld/pve areas, which give you a pve gambling for gear currency).
So more bots found in pvp areas are likely.
Hunting bots for fun was a thing back in D2 and practiced to a point where the bots were set to instantly leave the game as soon as someone hostiled them.
Anyone trying to bot in the Fields of Hatred is going to have a really bad time ![]()
They will mostly stick to the dungeons where no one can see and report them.
Yeah but bots dgaf how many times they get killed, and an efficient farmbot company will likely arm their bots up using the magic of their unlimited buying power and send them in dedicated groups which means random kills from actual humans won’t be easy.
Getting killed often means that you aren’t farming efficiently.
The kills won’t be random.
If bots really start showing up in PvP zones they will be targeted and hunted down.
It is optional. You have the option of not running through those areas.
i know i hated FOH paladins, glad they removed them… ![]()
it is just cosmetics, its been said, time and time again, over and over again, for many months now, thats its just cosmetics.
