You introduce runewords in S6.
Then you proceed to give us a bunch of runes without any effort at all from the player.
What makes you think this feels meaningful or rewarding?

There is a quick tutorial that explains how runes work.

You can see the runes and what they do at the NPC.
Please remove all freebies from the game. It feels undeserved and extremely bad to receive these without going out in the world and hunting from them. Like in Diablo 2.

The sad part about the rune mechanic is that they are weak affixes that dont really do anything better than just equipping gems for stats.

This is not diablo 2. The good news is: you can go play that game.

Without any effort at all from the player? RLY?
You have no idea lol how long it took me to just get the 2 runewords i needed/wanted. I guess you were just abnormally lucky (or in your case unlucky since you obviously cant appreciate the good fortune you’ve had).
But hey, if you dont like it, just play the game the way you want. Go into the world and hunt for them as you suggested. But dont force your bad ideas on the rest of us please

You can effectively ignore all runes and just use gems as you have. Hopefully they just delete the runes.

Thanks for answering one point and disregarding the rest :]
I guess you’re one of those players that want all uber uniques sitting in your stash at lvl 1 when you log in for a new season right :)?
depends on build & runes used.
tam + wat (25 per non channel skill and 100 to cast necro horrid decrepify)
with xol + ohm (150 gain when casting another class skill and 600 cost for 15% dmg buff for 6sec) work very well with builds that cast a lot (a bunch of sorc builds for example) that lead to near full uptime of 15% dmg & slow/dmg debuff/execute for doing nothing really.
Oh gaslighting. Good response. For the record, my response WAS for your whole post.
And here I was thinking runes needed a drop buff… I get like one, maybe two runes an hour. For a system that has you collecting multiple of the same to roll the dice on upgraded, this drop rate feels extremely low to me…
No idea how long it took? VoH has been out for what, a little over a week and of that the server stability has been pretty hosed for half that time? It couldn’t have been too much time…
I still dont have the runes I need despite actively farming for them. So much for “no effort”.
Also it looks like you dont even read what these " free runes" do since these are all garbage.
Thats the mistake. Not that they give you some for free.
3 days is a “little over a week?”

15% boosters aren’t that much of the game maker or breaker. Casting class skills/spells is completely different story.
How that happen? just starting doing new storyline bring you tones of runes
Dunno … I keep getting the same few bad runes. I have 20 different runes… only 1 of them I need once I got the other word for it.
Then I still have to hunt for 3 more.

You’re a sentient being with thumbs, presumably. Takes .6 neurons to determine that best solution is for you to sell them to the nearest vendor. Then you can hunt your own.
There’s a a more constructive way to communicate to people than telling them “their opinion doesn’t matter, go play another game”. You don’t have to like another persons opinion on the mechanics of a game, but you should learn a little respect in the way you communicate with others if you disagree with them. You’re not Blizzard, so pretending as if you are just because a mechanic is different from D2 now, doesn’t mean it wont change. So, show a little maturity, let people hypothesize and have their opinions, and share their ideas, and learn to communicate better.

Found where i needed to be lol, runes have a huge issue as i crafted a runeword and it VANISHED from my inventory?!? First time doing that and boom its no where to be found… anyone else have this problem?
It sounds like he wants to play diablo 2 and that’s what i think he should do. I didn’t find his post to be worth more than that. Good effort.
