I get it, a lot of people didn’t like doing bounties, but at least they were useful for crafting purposes in the cube. It gave you a reason to be in the overworld. The “Tree” has no useful things past your first one that gives you your first “key” to do NMD.
In the end, my comment was not a comparison of D3 to D4 it was more a comment about taking the knowledge of what worked, and what didn’t. They found out how to keep players engaged in D3, not every player, but enough to get a good idea of what worked with the fans.
You can never please everyone, all of the time, but D4 is not in any measure an improvement over D3, it’s just different, and in many ways in my opinion, much worse, and that should never be the case in a game that is developed by the same company.
