Best way to farm obducite?

so just asking for suggestions on farming obducite stuff. here is what i am currently doing

  1. i do infernal hordes whenever i have the item to run it
  2. nightmare dungeons. instead of racing to boss should i try to clear out the entire dungeon to get the most obducite?
  3. i don’t do undercity. i just hate the timer thing.
  4. pit is useless for obducite it seems

so i basically run a lot of nm dungeons. kind of slow process. any other suggestions? thanks.

Apparently undercity is better than hordes… I keep running hordes (too rng based honestly I get runs with 500 and sometimes 1k+) and NMD to change the phase sometimes…

There’s not much else I believe for obducite unless someone with way more experience can enlight us both

hmmmm ok maybe i should just try to get used to the timer. i just like doing nm dungeons because i feel more relaxed. timer is kind of a buzzkill for me. but ty for the advice

If you hover over obdi in the mats tab it tells you where it drops.

and the higher the T level the bigger the volume of drops from IH etc, Compass drops form Whispers, and opal, doing whatever HT maybe, Lair B, somewhere, lol

I don’t know what is most efficient or highest yield. But the clear ‘best’ to me is NM dungeons, full clears, and especially do every event you can.

Once you get into the groove and stop monitoring the totals (just play a whole bunch of different ones in a row for variety) you end up with a surprising amount at the end.

dungeons are absolutely ok for obducite farming plus variety of materials. my opinion is just salvage those Scosglen sigils (gothic-like) but keep the others because they usually have many doors, hindering smooth sweep.

the 10-wave infernal horde is also fine if you can consistently earn 800–1000 aether. the GA cache and experience points are worth it.

If you have the obducite tributes, then undercity is definitelt best. But those arent all that common in my experience. Next best imo, is 10 wave infernal hordes. Can vary a lot, but usually aeound 4-5k obducite per run. Then of course, NMDs. IH can get old really fast, and depend on having 10 wave compasses. So yeah, if you dont have tributes or compasses, thats when you go to nightmare dungeons. Might depend on how strong your char is though.

The two best sources are hordes and undercity. If you prefer to do dungeons then yes, clear the whole thing and open every chest. Obducite can drop from all that stuff. You get way less though.

Yeah… NMD’s aren’t the best for Obducite but you can (almost) always craft another batch of keys. The problem with Undercity and even Hordes is you have to find the damn keys first. I just hit p215 on my Eternal toon (started fresh with the event) and I only have 6 of the Undercity keys for crafting mats. Hordes are pretty reliable though. The keys drop fairly often from whispers and Helltides. The only problem is after running them so much last season I’m still burned out on them.

Cant say I really disagree. I think I only have like 15 of those keys left for undercity when I stopped playing. Pretty easy to get horde keys. I had almost two pages of them and I was deleting them all the time. I also got bored of hordes for the same reason… ran so many of them in the previous season because it was the only thing to do.

Thats the problem with D4 endgame. It really isnt endgame, it’s just farming content. They added like one thing each season and you run it 1000s of times so already burned out of it the next season.

Yes open every chest and things like the iron maidens on the prison dungeons, break all breakables, do the event also and kill all the monsters.
