While your explanation makes sense, Blizzard should realize that ultimately the Diablo franchise is bound to their name. I understand that they hired this R. Ferguson guy as the Diablo franchise handler, so he should coordinate what’s coming out for all the Diablo games and Manage it properly: get all players hyped for new stuff and avoid drama wherever possible by making the right choices. The fact that the overall unfavoured side game Immortal got the way more interesting stuff for the same event than the current main game of the franchise, is a testimony that whoever is in charge of the Diablo franchise is NOT fit whatsoever in making the right calls.
