Look, it’s not just about the raw numbers. Developing this likely cost them next to nothing compared to the D4 expansion and all that hype. They’re just milking the cow at this point. It’s obviously a marketing stunt for the D4 add-on, since D4 is probably underperforming in terms of ROI. But hey, Blizzard’s greed actually worked out for us for once—a win-win. The actual best game in the series gets more content, they get their money, and D2 nerds get to theorycraft over micro-adjustments for the next decade. Everyone wins, right?

Honestly, a major class rebalance before the new season is non-negotiable, especially since I’m actually planning to play for once. If they just leave the Warlock as-is, they’ve basically trashed the ‘balance’ D2 has maintained for years. But if they actually put in the work, it’ll boost sales for the D4 expansion (aka the scam). People will be like, ‘Hey, maybe Blizzard isn’t so bad after all, look at them actually fixing D2.’ It’s a rare chance for them to fix their rep while still cashing out like they always do

if it would have been a new class for d3, i would have bought 100 copies. d2 sucks and i just dont like it but im happy for the weirdos that like that kind of game. I’m sure they are having a blast playing a new class in a game they love
