It is. Beast has frozen attacks which can CC you and depending on build, can drop defense if they are conditioned DR. Its best to take unconditional DR like shako or tyrials for him. Ideally, you want to stagger him fast.
We spam him for fist of fate, he is pretty easy with heavy staggering builds. No one should have problems with bosses anymore after the massive 5x nerf to HP, if they do, its own incompetemcy.
