“from today, our tickets don’t include choice of seat anymore. but hey, rejoice: from tomorrow, you’ll be graciously allowed adding a modest fee to your ticket price, to reserve a seat! isn’t that great? aren’t we thinking at you?” all pure american way. worked for air lines fares, applies everywhere. games are no different.
Me using Barber should not invalidate the abilities other players in the group have tbh.
So make one of the most busted things in gaming history (yes its that good) more broken because its propping up builds? 0 damage proccing lucky hit and status? Anything that does that now should be fixed. 0 dmg hits should do nothing. Fix things goal not make em more broken.
No. Balance instead.
You can both fix bad mechanics, even if it makes things stronger, and also nerf to balance them.
It’s fine primarily because without it, build diversity drops through the floor and it’s going to take this team months, maybe years, to get their heads out if their asses and worry less about heavy handed balance and more about fun and optionality. If they remove hearts at the end of the season and haven’t miraculously pivoted to fun, well, let’s hope the next season has its own version of barber.
Really - this genre isn’t about precision balancing against PvE or PvP content. It’s about enabling tons of experimentation and a sense of constant power progression.
I disagree with you. D3 took a solid year to get up to speed. D4 core is decent. We got alot of good things in here. Just needs a massive balance check and fun things added. I got a massive post to help them coming.
I agree that the season mechanic goal should always be to goto eternal in a harder to get form and you keep your items. So to clarify how I would design this I am just throwing out some numbers. Say Maliginant enemies have a 5% chance to spawn in a map in season. In eternal it could goto 2.5%. This makes it beneficial to play the season. You get more hearts. To lose all hearts and your great items in season because of ruined items is poor design and wasted resources (all the work done for season by devs is gone after season ends) and they need to get away from it. Now they obviously cant have hearts goto eternal because they are OP AF as currently designed so this is going to be tricky to design stuff thats powerful and fun yet can goto eternal.
That because all the other wrathful gems suck except for a couple of build specific ones. instead of nerfing Barb, how about buffing the other wrathfuls.

you r just showing ur lvl84 rogue game play with no specific test of what you state. XD
Gohr’s weren’t broken either amirite?
It does not allow for Poison imbue to proc on targets affected by it
they just need to make bright green numbers for people when your damage is being absorbed then everyone will be fine with this.
nah they need to make it not consume my damage and stop my build completely dead when I’m not running the damn thing, then I’d be fine with it.
Here I am as a shadow blight necromancer who doesn’t use essences enjoying an OP item. Can’t wait to find a mendeln and put a barber in that bad boy.
Lol, plays the exact spec and skills that make barber work on rogue and thinks they know it all. Switch to poison, get rid of concealment and come talk to us.
This exactly. Shadow and Concealment are the exact spec and skills that benefit from the barber. Playing Poison feels horrible with barber or while playing with anybody using it.
Thankfully this is a nonissue since it’s a seasonal item that will poof in about two months. There are far more important issues to address than this.
Either people’s posts and the true mechanics of the heart are going over your head or you are intentionally acting ignorant. There has been plenty of people who have done in-depth testing and released vids/posts about what is not mechanically working with the heart. Your sad little side vids showing nothing but you clearing ez content on an OP rogue dont do anything.
Either you don’t know the class as well as you think or you blinding take some youtubers half assed content as a source of truth. Test it yourself.
The clip above literally shows me proc’ing Vulnerability with the Exploit glyph / paragon while using Poison Imbuement, and the mobs being poisoned by it. Half my aspects do not work unless I have Shadow Imbuement. Even with half my aspects not working, I proc Vulnerability, Lucky Hit, Crit, Staggers, etc…
The Barber is not bugged. Player just do understand how it works. I have gone in depth on how it actually works in an above post. But feel free to test it yourself.
