😂 Barber heart absorbs/steals ALL player damage in a group

I imagine whoever crits first after explosion would get to see the numbers.

That heart completely breaks rogue’s poison imbuement.

I helped a friend who’s using that heart to kill Tormented Echo of Varshan on my poison TB rogue, and I had to ask him to stop attacking the boss so I can apply the poison.

That’s impressive. So bad, I’d think it was on purpose for group synergy?

Every character has a unique GUID, every status has a unique handle. Coding wise it’s not hard at all to link those together. Hell screw it. I’ll write it in pseudo lua right now.

(“CharacterStatusApplied”, 3, “after”, function(targetGUID, statusId, sourceGUID)
if statusId == “Xorn_Dummy_Status” then
local target = Ext.Entity.GetCharacter(targetGUID)
local heartStatus = target:GetStatus(“Xorn_Dummy_Status”)
if heartStatus then
for i, damagetype in pairs(Ext.Enums.DamageType) do
hitdamage = GetDamage(targetGUID, statushandle, damagetype)
if hitdamage > 0 then
HitAddDamage(targetGUID, statushandle, damagetype
end
end
end

My girlfriend and I noticed this on saturday and did extensive testing with barber because I noticed it instantly. We are both playing barbs and were around level 70 at the time. We were recording all of our game play and watching it back frame by frame and also doing damage calculations on bosses. We ran same exact dungeon on same exact tiers to do our test so it was always the same. We noticed that not only is damage sapped but stuff like a barbarians passive unbridled rage also adds no extra damage, as if only a percentage of damage that is hard CAPPED is sapped out of the player whos not using barber and the rest of the damage gets completely removed from the game. We actually just had faster boss kills without either of us using barber then using barber. Even faster boss kills without using barber without using unbridled rage THEN with barber and unbridled rage which the math is just simply wrong on all accounts. Whoever is testing and pushing out these patches needs to rethink their life.

What happens if multiple people use theirs at the same time?

You don’t use it. It’s based on when you crit. So whoever crits first wins.

Hide yo children and yo women!
Necrogue on the prowl, stealin da deeps…

I wouldn’t know. I haven’t played the season because the devs made a bunch of brain dead changes.

Rogues survivability were heavily nerfed, what are you talking about??
Nerf what? Damage? You don’t see Rogues killing world bosses in 4 seconds with broken builds and synergies.

Rogue is fast and have good mobility.
Take that away and you literally kill the class.

Stop with the nerfs.

was a joke calm down bro.

The heart is useless and bugged, it should only affect the wearer. It deals less damage when you have people dealing DOT. Poison, burn and shadow all get nerfed to the ground as the heart doesn’t absorb the tick damage.

I can take world bosses extremely fast with poison, as soon as someone has the sh*tty heart, it takes 10x longer.

Enemies that would die in 1-2 seconds now die in 4 seconds, or even longer as the poison damage isn’t ticking.

People only use it because streamers said it’s good with high damage numbers, when in reality, then nerfing most damage, stealing other players damage and not killing anything faster than what you would’ve killed it.

Did the boss die? Ok, then!

Omg! Someone who’s actually smart! My bro and I were doing Varshan runs and some random joined and used that sh*tty heart, kept trying to say how much damage they were doing. As soon as they died or weren’t in the boss room, we killed Varshan within 10-30 seconds, with the heart mf guy there, took nearly 5 mins.

That literally doesn’t happen when it doesn’t proc lucky hit and doesn’t take in DOT.

Hey everyone just letting you know, if you go into your profile settings for the forums you can manually block the op, hes basically a no life troll so there’s no reason to read his posts. Let’s all block him!

I think it still shows everyone their own damage numbers once the proc period ends. I did a Legion before I had a barber and someone else had it, but I got my own pop up when it ended.

Now that I have a barber of my own, my numbers that pop up with people around or not around are no different.

I can get over a million procs with a CE necro (even though the absorb window is bad for corpse gen) with or without other people around. Them being around doesn’t seem to impact the numbers I see, though I never paid that much attention and mostly solo.

The gem is overpowered because I think it must apply crit damage multiplier again when the barber procs and the barber proc always crits (or at least is always a yellow number). I’d guess it’s double dipping from at least vulnerable and possibly crit damage multiplier as well. That’s the real issue with the heart’s power, not that it’s applying for groups, though I expect that’s also considered a bug.

edit: and for anyone that doesn’t know what I mean by double dipping, I mean that during the absorb period you’re getting vulnerable and crit damage still even though it’s hidden, but then when the barber releases, you’re getting one or both of those multipliers again or something. The numbers just don’t add up otherwise.

edit2: tested it on world boss, I guess it is also adding other players damage into your number as well, though I still think the other issues with it are probably the bigger problems with it overall

In D4? What? No! Impossible!

There’s a druid guy using that heart to smoke bosses.too.
