I’m a dad gamer meaning modest skill at best. I just logged into my Eternal Sorc who could kill Duriel on T4 in seconds and now kills me over and over. I’ve realized this game is no longer for me. I liked the bosses in D3 - they had mechanics to avoid but not the kind where the ground is covered in insta-death and oh by the way, the boss is going to spit death on you or digest you for a while and then burrow underground again. Whatever is considered “fun”, this isn’t it for me.

You are saying yourself you have modest skills and you are a dad gamer. What is preventing you from switching to T3? Why do you want all people to play the highest difficulty with no challenge because you like it that way?
T3 is the old T4 or better said the old pit 55 equivalent. Nothing is preventing you from playing in T3.
There is only one messy hard fight, that can be frustrating and that’s Andariel.
Duriel just try and don’t stay in the middle of the arena. You will defeat Duriel for sure.

She’s not worth the hassle.
I am dad player too and all bosses has pretty easy and avoidable mechanics.

Kill him on T3? That’s what I did (while doing everything else on T4) until my guy got strong enough for T4 bossing.
