Aspect drop rate are extremely low

Hi,

Im not sure if this is just me, I have swap to Bone Spear necro build when i was lvl65, and now my level is 80, and i only have one Splintering aspect so far, and the roll is not good, and I did not even encounter the aspect that give back essence when we lucky hit…

I wonder if it is just me or Blizzard have changed the aspect drop rate to super low. I understand the splintering aspect can be found from the codex however the percentage is super low.

I can’t imagine there is no drop after raising my character for 15 level and i dont see a single splintering aspect from all the legendary item i found so far. I think this is extremely ridiculous.

Without those aspect, I can’t even change my gear even i found one.

I agree. I am having a hard time getting the serration legendary aspect to drop. I have the same sword I’ve been using since I was in my mid 60th levels. I am level 88 now.

You guys ever done a helltide and opened 4x Mystery Chests?

Helltide is every 1hr and 15mins

I’ve seen at least 6-7 of these aspects in 100hrs+ of gameplay

I was drowning in those during preseason but I haven’t seen many now.

I don’t enjoy the RNG on a lot of aspects myself. It can be frustrating. I have looted 7 copies of some uniques or more so far this season but only seen certain aspects twice. This just isn’t right, to me.

It’s physically impossible to open 4 chests, you can definitely do 3, but it’s not possible to do 4 anymore. The new malignant events are horrible…

I get so many aspects that, it’s not just a ton of aspects, but PERFECT ROLLS of those aspects! So I looked at the patch notes and see that bosses drop a guaranteed legendary! I happen to be running non-stop NMD’s so it actually makes total sense. I think I’m going to go back into my box and get rid of a lot of these aspects I’m stockpiling b/c I don’t think I’ll use them.

Right, that one random legendary every 10 or so minutes makes that much of a difference that you’re getting a ton of perfectly rolled legendaries and don’t even know were to put them anymore.

your disbelieve/discount everything Wukong says is working great btw. What you see here are just the perfects. To say nothing of the near perfects and the ones for my Sorceress too.

Yeah, I was referring to the aspects and not the rest of the stats. Probably wasn’t clear enough in my language.

Totally agree, i only found one max roll on splintering. They def nerfed the rolls , most what i get are garbage. Sad

Still running a low rolled blighted aspect on my 2hander at lvl 75. And the roll range is 100%-240% so the difference would be massive, but I just never find it.

I think Exposed Flesh is the hardest to find. I literally waited 10 levels to get it to switch the ring I had equipped,. With the buffs to aspect of torment they really they really increased the regen and it’s not Lucky hit. I mighty try it,

On a XX:00 Two Area Helltide I have opened ALL chests once

Just because you can’t do something doesn’t mean it’s impossible

Might as well tell you how since it seems you have trouble:

  • Dont go to town
  • Leave up to 10 legendaries on the field so you don’t have to pick them up or carry them with you
  • Establish a rotation between the Event Sites hitting each one and moving to the next, sometimes you just walk up to the site and its been recently cleared and floor covered in cinders
  • Fire Resistance Potion cuts out a lot of Fallen Lunatic and Meteor damage
  • Use Helltides dot com

You’re assuming I don’t understand how to play the game effectively. I have over 700 hours on each season in Diablo 3 and over a thousand hours in PoE. I understand how to be effective and efficient in farming on ARPGs. The game as it is now, is very hard on getting enough cinders to open 4 chests. I never die in helltide nor do I have issues. I rotate between all events and sometimes I get cinders and sometimes I don’t. The events are completely random and don’t offer a lot of cinders to begin with outside of “Kill all monsters” events or the bandits ambush events. Both Malignant Helltide events are absolutely horrible and I skip them entirely and kill elites around the area. You also didn’t mention a few extra worthwhile tips to farm helltides effectively, which is fine. Please don’t assume people don’t know or understand how to play the game and be a snobby prick about it.

I think OP is just unlucky.

I’m level 94 on Eternal Realm and splintering aspect is probably one of the more common drops. I think I’ve seen it drop a couple dozen times.

man he´s a troll, actually the chests have a spawn timer and is not possible to get 4 everytime, maybe if you are too lucky that is barely impossible since they get erased soon, also elites doesn´t give any cinders so farming mobs each 3 seconds is a waste of time, if you want loot go to nm dungeons, helltides are worthless right now, everything is worthless despite nm right now. Maybe you can farm something in pvp, but is boring.
