Are WT4 uniques turned off?

Kind of like I was using Shako as just an example? C’mon man you are just grasping at straws now.

:joy: It is possible those items are not even on the “loot table,” right now.

Let’s say Shako is a GOD TIER item and it can only drop from Uber Lilith, what about the other legendaries that aren’t dropping in WT4?

I can also be as smart as you are and say that Uber Lilith is currently disabled (which is true) so that makes me the winner in this debate?

I don’t know man but I’m not gonna assume they absolutely don’t exist just because people haven’t found them within a week of release.

I mean maybe they ARE gated or maybe they start dropping when the season actually starts—in that case we can debate all day and get nowhere.

I just think that you underestimate the amount of people who have been playing in WT4 since June 1st.

I agree to disagree I guess.

And that’s totally fine. We can disagree. But it’s just too early IMO to be talking in absolutes yet…all I’m saying.

those items are tradeable. there is no point in having untradeable uniques with droprates lower than a mirror of kalandra or a zod rune in a seasonal game. the base itemization in this game is not an exciting enough chase by itself if there is no realistic chance of seeing these uniques even if you’re playing efficiently for 16 hours a day over an entire season.
but even if the items were that rare at least 1 of them would have dropped for someone by now, so it’s far more likely that they just aren’t in the game.

That’s like…your opinion man.

I think gamers as a whole are so conditioned to getting BiS/near BiS every season that not getting a BiS item for said season freaks them out a bit and their brain sort of shorts out.

Of course there is? It gives people something to achieve throughout an entire season, something which the average player might not even do

As long as the actual content is doable without it, then it’s fine. That’s how it worked in D2 - you could “beat the game” with terrible gear. But you gained better gear because it was enjoyable - it increased your overall efficiency, allowed you to make alts, etc

If you can beat the content with gear that’s relatively easy to obtain, then it doesn’t matter how rare an item is. You don’t need that item to succeed, it’s just something cool to aim for

I think you overestimate the amount of people running high level content and the frequency. Streamers skew perception of reality sometimes.

I know loads of people playing the game. No one near at very high level. Games been out a week. 2 days for people who didn’t want to spend $100 (which I’d wager is way more then those who paid for early access). Are there people no lifing and farming high level content. Of course. But no where near the level of bot activity on D2. So we’ll have to see.

I hope they have a very low rate. I for one think its great no one has one. Makes it exciting. Gives the game somw buzz. Look at us all arguing about.

One of the saddest things ever is day 2 of a new D2 season and everyone is fully geared from bots and forum gold. Kills the fun in a hurry.

I have at least 40 people in my friend list who are between 60-80

its not achievable though? that’s the entire point. gearing a character in ancestral legendaries with proper aspects and affixes isn’t going to take that long, and past that the only “chase” is trying to find higher rolls of the same affixes. that’s not interesting enough by itself if there is no realistic chance of ever seeing ONE of these uniques even if you play for 16 hours a day. that’s not “the average player” never seeing one of these uniques, that’s just retarded and pointless.

So within every season, forever, every single player who even remotely touches the game should end up at level 100, destroying all forms of content, whilst in absolutely BIS gear?

You realize with that design perspective, there’s going to be a lot of players who run out of content incredibly quickly right? I mean, we’re barely a week into the game, and some people are already level 100. Give it another week, and they’ll also be in absolute BIS gear and have cleared all real content

That’s 2 weeks. To beat a season that lasts 3 months. That means some people, even if they play literally every season, will only end up playing the game for 2 months out of a year. 2/12, or 1/6. That’s not particularly good, and again, that’s assuming they come back for every season. That’s also assuming people don’t improve at blasting through the content as time goes on, which they probably will

you have some serious reading comprehension struggles if you somehow pulled this strawman out of what i posted. i guess playing for 16 hours a day over an entire season is the same thing as “every single person who remotely touches the game ever”
go back to school

Lmao. Instantly resorts to personal insults. Yeah, good job arguing your point there bud

That’s just RNG though lol. You could farm 16 hours a day and never find it, while Bob over here who plays an hour a night finds one in 2 weeks. What’s wrong with that?

It’s truly like hitting the lottery…which is what Diablo RNG should be like IMO. And is what all the hardcore players wanted…and now they don’t?

why not? arpgs have always worked such that you can get the most powerful item in the game from some random weak guy in a field. this isn’t an mmo raid game my dude. i mean you telling me pindleskin was hard to kill? haha.

Got a raiment today which I think is a wt4 unique so can confirm the more common ones are dropping at least.

I’ve had about 5 or 6 Ancestral fields of crimson uniques drop (two handed sword) since release in WT4.

It’s got to the point now where I don’t think the Grandfather exists.

I wouldnt be suprised if uniques like Shako were in fact disabled for some reason. Who knows, some clarification from blizz would be nice. I have 27 uniques so far, not a single one from those previously mentioned.
