Are uber uniques even dropping?

Normally in every other season i got at least 1 uber unique every other 20runs at duriel. Today i did a 20 rota run and none of us got anything.

That ~2% drop rate is a cruel mistress. Seems like your luck ran out this season. Happens to the best of us.

Got a selig on my 4th run and starless on like my 20th, just lucky I guess

Oddly but yes and oddly not necessary from D or A … lol - I got azurewrath from NM dungeon chest on … Nightmare (not even Torment)

i got a dbl uber unique drop (shako/visage) from torment duriel last night - so can confirm they are indeed dropping

Im not gonna lie i thought it was a bug. My friends were jelly. On the reverse S3 took me 300 runs to get both stones and I never found the ring last season, just everything else.

I got my first in about 9 runs this season. Cant use it, but i got one.

I’ve done more than 100 runs on duriel another 500 on high level pits… 2 different charecters. Not a single Uber… not only this my account still having the resplented spark issue with lilith so I’m stuck at 3 sparks (2 char wolfs and 1 tormented boss). My friend got 2 ubers until 40th run another two of my friends got at least one . They dont have problems with lilith drop so they already have their ubers also that greater affix sh*t… dont get me started on that one.

whoa! grats, I heard rumors of the pit dropping uber uniques but then when the one guy said he got an uber unique from the pit boss it turned out to be a mothers embrace - heh

Got lucky, it dropped with CDR greater affix. Initially wanted to salvage it to go for Ring of starless skies but it turns out to be BiS for necro minion so…well…made a necro minion.

Have yet to see an uber drop despite hundreds of Durial runs since his release.

Last season I went all in with countless runs and I ended up with absolutely nothing.
Yesterday I found one Shako in open world.
I think I’m gonna die soon, I’ve exhausted a lifetime of luck in one single second.

I have had selig and tyreals drop for me from basic duriel (first ubers coz i didnt bother playing season 3 since its theme didnt intrest me)

I am over 300 Duriel/Andy runs in. I haven’t got a single uber unique so far, and I’m starting to question whether there are some shenanigans going on under the hood.

For reference, this isn’t something that is unheard of. There was an incident with some asian game where they have dynamic drop rates which vary based on player activity. In other words, the drop rates adjust to squeeze out as much playtime out of the person as possible. So if the algorith recoginzes that this type of player is more likely to play more if he doesn’t get his drops, than it adjusts the drop rate accordingly. And also some buffed drop rates for influencers so that you can basically see it drop on their stream.
It’s been some time, I don’t remember all the details of this system, but it is patented by Nexon and you can look up a video going into this topic on youtube. Force Gaming made a video about it, its called something like “Bad news for MMOs”.

Now, in case of D4 this might be some tinfoiling on my part, but I would love if you guys would share how many uber uniques you got, and how much time you spent playing this season before you got it, and also how much you played on average in the previous seasons.

Again, I don’t think that this is exactly what is going on here, the system is patented by Nexon after all, but just looking at numbers makes me question whether there is a chance of a similar system. At 2% drop rate, after 300 runs, the chances to not get a single uber unique are 0.98^300 which is equal to 0.233%.

I’m actually doing a small experiment right now. I farmed some mats for Andy and Duriel runs, and I will stop playing for 4 days, and then log in and go straight into rotations.

And just got a Tyrael’s Might on a random solo Durial run. Had a few summon materials left over after group runs.
