If they were useful maybe, did I ever say the boards are good atm? No matter what you say, your getting less options if the boards force you to pick 100 stat nodes because there is nothing else, now if they totally rework them it could be a great change

The cap is 100 now.

I mean the cap on the stats they giveā¦ I donāt care what level they are, what do they cap at % wise when adding crit DMG as an example
With another board being introduced for each class, increased radius and the resources to activate more mag, and rare nodes. I donāt see how this could be anything but better than what we have now.

More than likely the board selection will be more meaningful.
I mean, you can also specifically path through all the nodes except the legendary nodes and glyph socketsā¦ but you wonāt. Taking fewer than the maximum number of boards isnāt an option because you have to get as many glyphs as you can. This will be even more true with the buffed glyphs. So the only option is which boards you take. There are 9 of them in the expansion. That means if you can take 9, you have 1 possible selection: all of them. If you can take 7 you have 36 possible board selections. If you can take 4, you have 126 possible combinations. Same number if you can take 5 (in addition to the starter).
I think they should make it 5 plus the starter like they said on the campfire.
ITs an artificial limitation placed on us because they dont know how to properly balance paragon boards. Everyone was just spamming through boards asap ignoring most everything to get more glyphs. They dont know how to address this so they just put up a white flag and put in this limitation. A truly inspired dev team would have addressed the core problem and just made legendary nodes enticing and worth it for different builds while not dialing up glyphs to have to level 100 times.
Not all 9 boards are going to fit every build, so no you donāt have that many options, your still taking the boards that everyone will choose for said build, the only difference is you canāt venture off into boards that donāt fit your build for multipliers
But you would still have to take them because the glyphs are that powerful.
Itās true that for any given build you will not have 126 good combinations. You might only have 1 good combination for each build. Thatās kind of what a build is. If you are making a different paragon setup you are making a different build or at least a significant variant. But without a cap you will have only 1 good combination for each class.
How? I canāt change a build without a cap? That literally makes no sense, the number of boards isnāt the issue here itās the useless nodes everyone skips when it comes to a singular build path

Without a cap, you must take all 9 boards. Because you need as many glyphs as possible.
Why must I? What if I didnāt because atm I donāt have toā¦my builds a lil weaker wow itās still an optionā¦
This is the true problem. The boards are uninspired trash for the most part. Nobody ventures to get nodes because much of the time they are off in nowhere land surrounded by trash. Look at the enchantment board for mage. Look how far enchantment node is from anything good. Who is going to go there to get 20% better enchants and one of those enchants is always burn dmg so who cares. This is why ppl just chain boards asap because of this. This is the true issue. The arbitrary limit on boards is a white flag. Its them surrending and not knowing how to balance these. Same thing on main stat differerent for each hero. They have no idea how to balance their either. This is becoming a concerning trend where Bliz is addressing the symptoms of a problem instead of the disease.

I did hope we were getting an actual paragon rework here, but it sounds like we arenāt. Without a full rework and with them buffing instead of nerfing glyphs, they need the cap. They can always revisit the cap if they change glyphs to actually require investment on the board.

Sure, but at least itās duct tape thatās easy to remove in this case.
How is dog food recyclable
Like for instance they could of made a bonus for putting certain amount of points in a board instead of caps to get people to use less boards, just an idea off the top of my head
