you cant root/freeze/stun bosses: but they all count towards the games stagger system. I think some have a higher value then others. Stuns for example tend to push the stagger meter faster (I would assume freeze is in this category) where as I feel roots and slow more then likely barely push it(havent tested this aspect). If you use disables enough on a boss the stagger meter fills all the way up and the boss is knocked down and you start doing dmg. I know for certain when hes in that state it “counts” as a stun because I was double swing spec’d and was able to spam it.
