Approx 12hrs until server explosion

What I remember on launch was the constant crashing every time you switched instances. leave town, enter town, show up at a legion, port, etc.

I won’t get home until about an hour and a half after the servers (are supposer to) come back up. I expect you all to make room for me and have any launch day issues ironed out.

Whats OP even talking about? the releases of the base game, as well as the season were all rather smooth when it came to server stability.

hmmm well - had a great nap - was I wrong in that VOH drops Tuesday ??

Its actually today - like 6pm Monday evening in Texas ??

depends on the timezone i guess. for me its 1am, by which it is tuesday

I can’t reveal my source but I was told by a friend who has a cousin that is married and their kid who went to college and roomed with someone who was in a long distance relationship with a person who now works at Blizzard, that they recently installed a fresh batch of hamsters in their servers.

So everything should be just fine.

:hamster:

Yeah, it’s going to be rough. The company doesn’t have enough experience with online gaming, nor do they have access to compute resources that they can spin up on demand to dynamically scale the operations, in order to provide a smooth experience for their end users.

If they had, maybe 20 years experience with online gaming and the numbers regarding the presales so that they could run some projections for expected server loads, it would be a lot different. Unfortunately, blizzard is running blind here. They also don’t have a capacity planning department, so we could get a real meltdown on launch. I won’t be playing because I didn’t buy the expansion, but good luck!

Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred and season 6 start at 4 p.m. PDT on Monday, Oct. 7, according to a Blizzard blog post. Here’s when that is in your time zone:

  • 4 p.m. PDT on Oct. 7 for the West Coast of North America
  • 7 p.m. EDT on Oct. 7 for the East Coast of North America
  • 12 a.m. BST on Oct. 8 for the U.K.
  • 1 a.m. CEST on Oct. 8 for Western Europe/Paris
  • 8 a.m. JST on Oct. 8 for Tokyo

In terms of when you can preload the expansion, that is currently available for all players, both via Battle.net and on console.

It starts on a Monday? Another great design decision. This is the first Diablo game/exp that I will not purchase. I will be enjoying tay tay and the chiefs. But, y’all enjoy your mediocrity.

so it doesnt matter to you anyway? have fun with whatevers :>

Mountain time, gross.

I can’t travel to that area of the country without getting nosebleeds.
