Anyone going from rank 5 pit to rank 6 hordes notice a steep climb?

I’m at a loss this season as the previous season had a reality check @ 99 till the nerf. Now, it seems my cap is surviving past 4 waves seems impossible. 8/12 items capped, well over the armor and resist caps and these one-shots that you sometimes survive the first one but seconds later you have 0 armor/immunity destroys you moments later.

It doesn’t seem gradual, you go from blasting a rank 5 to not even making it past the first to fourth wave in T6. I’m at a plateau, my uniques don’t have any greater affix that are well-rolled, and the rest of my gear has 1-2 greater affixes. I’m playing Chain Lightning Sorc and not really able to do some of the more popular specs with 0 mythic uniques so I can’t seem to do much to progress.

How have you guys overcome these sort of problems playing solo? Do I really just need to sit in 5’s until I get some greater affix uniques? Granted I’ve had bad luck I guess; but, playing every season I’ve never felt so gated with all these videos with people who’ve had 6 plus mythic uniques. I guess I should play an alt, just feels bad in my opinion. I’d really like to enjoy this season, but the contrast to season 4 path to gear was more digestable I feel.

As soon as you start stacking x multipliers typically in the Paragon board you become op. I’m sure if I were getting hit I would take a lot of damage but things just die.

That’s kind of the problem, things aren’t dying and I hit 100 first day of the new season. what spec is your sorc?

Just farm a fractured winterglass and respec to orb/lightningspear

You dont need the mythics for it to work

(But u do need to get to 0.3 - 0.4 cooldown on the amulet either originally or with masterworking)

replace “pit” with “hordes” in your title so things make sense.

Lol I’m glad you mention that. I was like wtf. Pit 5 v 6. That doesn’t make sense at all

Ya, this is good advice, I didn’t have the depth of an inventory so using what I got, I at least make it to the council. I finished getting the stuff to 8/12 and now going to see if I can farm fractured winter. Hopefully, that will help, I was under the assumption the spec wouldn’t work w/o it.

Doesnt matter what tier or how much def/DR you have, you’ll still get 1 shot. Game is garbage.
