Re-read what I stated. Especially the first bullet point which clearly refutes the thesis that “more weapons = always better”. I’ll wait for your explanation of Rogue in S0-S3 despite having access to more weapons.

The entire premise is flawed. It’s not the weapons, it’s the skills/paragon that Barb has that leads to all the multipliers that other classes don’t. Blizzard clearly sees this and has been revoking/limiting the multipliers season after season. Carrotfeets-1833 is correct here.

Now IDK how much Essence does the Necro have baseline (I assume 100 but haven’t played Necro in a while)

The Unique’s ability was:

Path of Trag’Oul - Unique Boots

  • Bone Prison traps a larger area and fires 20-35 Bone Splinters at enemies trapped within. Increase your Maximum Essence by 2 for 8 seconds each time these Bone Splinters hit an enemy.

IDK how you calculated 13% but from that description alone feels like the Spirit will do almost double-damage (60% more like) most of the time. I guess depending on targets trapped

I get that you feel strongly about this but the reality is most if not all the s-tier builds (like ball lightning) were reliant on bugs/unbalanced interactions that were subsequently nerfed.

As to class strength: Rogue had twisted blades for most of the seasons up to 3 as pretty much s-tier (typically just below barb). Barb had ww on release and various “bonk” builds immediately following its fix.

Yes other classes can outshine, and clearly some skills outshine. It doesn’t mitigate the fact inter-class balance is made a complete headache with free extra gear slots that at a minimum amount to damage multipliers + stat sticks.

You’re too close to barb and too scared of nerfs to accept this, it’s fine.

There’s an aspect that changes the interaction with Bone Spirit and Bone Prison, and that does roughly 13% more damage.

This unique item could be interesting, we don’t generally have any good boots currently, but we can apply a 20% damage buff to boots with concussive currently.

This could increase your maximum essence by 70, but when your max is already targeted at 275, going up to 345 is only going to be 280% additive damage on what’s already 1100% on top of the base damage (tooltip says 104% at the moment).

So best case, these boots would add 23% damage bonus. Concussive still looks better and it’s an aspect.

About “reuse”…

I am still waiting they “recycle” the poison evade NMD affix to a Unique Rogue Boots.
I am still waiting they changing Pestilent Points to work with any basic or add auto-imbue aspects to all others.

All they are doing is to buff Puncture and Ranged, Melee/Andy is not new at all but is a piece of cake make something work with Mythics.

Also depending on what they do to Asheara Kajar (if they remove Lucky Hit Chance, I will cry a lot here, since is the only from our weapons that buff this stat).

I am curious about the new S5 aspects and with high hopes to VoH new items (will it be analogous to D2 LoD 1.9 or D3 RoS?)

You literally said the new Barbarian Unique sounds overpowered. Unbroken Chain is the New Barbarian Unique. Explain how I could misread that.

You don’t realize the entire class is built around having those Arsenal weapons. This is taken into consideration with how the Paragon Tree, Skill Tree, and Aspects are designed.

Heroes get some fun things but sorc. Sorc gets a new awesum skill called manadrain while they use lightning pantaloons.

Sorc meta is repairing items, running for yur life, and making barb frens.

There is more than just that unique and I literally said “weapon”.

Also just because you don’t like something doesn’t mean it isn’t powerful or won’t have a use case.

The rogue weapon is literally garbage and the effect is just recycled.

All the other weapons have crazy +skills or +damage and we get +sub cdr and +bad skill.

The barb weapon has “generate fury” the rogue weapon has “maybe if you’re lucky generate energy sometimes”.

You mean in the same way vulnerable, crit, overpower and other damage types also work differently per class? Presumably when they consider balance they don’t generally make sweeping changes that affect all classes? Lol ok.

I wonder if some of you ever played non barbs? It’s not hard to see the glaring differences season in, season out if you do.

There’s loads of ways around mana regen. The problem isn’t draining mana; the issue is if the juice is worth the squeeze.

Does using an Aspect or Temper slot to gain mana/solve tye drain become worth the supposed damage increase of Chain Lightning? That’s the question. And we won’t know until PTR.

What are you talking about? You never mentioned a Barbarian Unique Weapon. In your crying rant, you complained about Rogue Weapons. What Barbarian Unique Weapon is there in the PTR Patch Notes? You do realize that aside from Grandfather and maybe Ramas (and a ton of Critical Strike Damage) on a few builds nobody takes Unique Barbarian Weapons because of Tempers right? Especially losing a 2H Aspect bonus on top of that.

What Barbarian Unique Weapons do you think people are taking lol. Hellhammer that has +Ranks to Upheveal? Overkill that has +Ranks to Deathblow? Fields of Crimson that reduces Rupture CD? Ancient’s Oath with +Ranks to Steel Grasp with a x60% damage bonus?

Nope! Legendaries are better.

You cite that Fury Generation is on Barbarian Weapons? Nope. Resource Cost Reduction. Funny enough that Barbarians actually have to roll a Rogue just to be able to Temper Critical Strike Damage lol.

Necro gets a dagger, create Last Epoch’s Volatile Zombies when consume corpses that explode for 5,514 shadow damage which can’t even kill a normal enemy. :upside_down_face:

It should be a unique rather than a LP. Unique Effects and LP cross too much.
