No crash, but my LED stays black with VSync when I tab out of the game. The problem is with the graphics drivers, but I still wonder why this only occurs with d4.
I have a RTX 4070 TI and a Ryzen 5900x processor and this also happens to me, my entire computer starts freezing little by little the longer the game is run, trying to find a solution. Itās especially bad when I hit Exit game after a while, it can freeze the computer to the point it needs a hard reboot.
I also have 64GB ram and all my temps are normal. Tried the game both on a HDD and a SSD, didnāt make much of a difference. Windows 10
I run the game on a 2k Ultrawide monitor, on medium settings. I notice it gets a lot better if I resize the screen to a smaller size, but itās 2023, I have more than the required hardware and I wanna play my game decently.
Yup, exactly this, at least twice an hour crash, if I exit when FPS are getting low my screen freezes for a minute or two. This problem is in since the very first test.
if virtual memory is limited in windows settings make it min 18 gb
check windows system event log if there was low virtual memory warning
gpu going black happens often on low virtual memory condition
close not needed programs when playing, disable hardware acceleration in battle net options
do not use in game fps display, disable all third party overlays also one from nvidia
in-game graphic options: reflections to low details, dlss2 or fsr2 to quality, geometric complexity medium, objects details medium, vsync enabled
check my response to another person for tips that will fix this
Ryzen 9 7900
RX 7900XTX 24GB
32GB DDR5
I got the out of Ram spam 15 minutes in on my very first launch of the game. Dropped from ultra to high and it seemed to work fine.
Seems like a bit of a waste to have even added these ultra textures at this point.
I too have the same issue with freezing of pc, usually when portal jumping from town to town and then suddenly the game freeze in the middle of using portal and I have to force close diablo from windows task manager. I have an AMD Vega 56 with up to date drivers and 16gb ram.
limit your fps, you wonāt see any crash anymore.
How to fix frequent crashes, install fresh win 10, get app to stop it from updating or manually stop the service for it, use old gpu driver that windows installs, uāll never crash again.
Memory leak uses a lot of vram with any graphics card I imagine it will patch up over time. tested 5700 2080 3060, it always maxes out vram usage and freezes the pc.
Exact same issue here, still.
Out of nowhere, randomly, D4 hard locks the computer. No response to mouse input, keyboard, anything. Sound keeps playing. All drivers up to date, NO performance issues whatsoever in the game, outside of the idiotic rubberbanding when switching server tiles.
No issues with any other software, but happens a few times a day with D4, and Iām really getting tired of hard resetting the PC, hardware problems WILL follow if this persists.
The game regularly crashes for me if I try to interact with an NPC while still mounted or too quickly after dismounting.
I believe it is memory related as it seems to happen less when I close all other applications.
I have the same issue since 19th June weekend. Before that my hand run smoothly, never crashed.
Iāve tried all ways to fix myself because the support answer is just a canned response and not helpful. I have installed windows twice, one to a previous Win 11 version, the other to Win 10. None helped. Itās a new computer with latest hardware. My GC is 4090. I have even tried with a different GC(on board one) and it still crashed.
Other games didnāt cause crash. To test me theory I even installed discount III to try out. No crashes there with D3, but every 1~5 min with D4
Btw, I have turned off virus protection too, and run battle net as admin. I had the latest drives from the official sites, and I donāt overclock. My GC usage is low enough and the temperature was always below 60C.
I donāt know what to do. Its unplayable on PC. I a forced to use a steam deck and the latency is terrible recently. Click a button, register only in 20s.
Same thing for me . The game often crashes the my PC , sound gets stuck in a loop and few seconds after PC restarts.
My temperatures are very low both PC and GPU.
Not sure whatās really going on thereā¦
Started today for me. I havnāt had any crashing issues upto this point. The battle.net update yesterday bluescreened my pc. Now today D4 will randomly hard crash and reset my whole pc. I have 3070/5600x - All temps are fine. Not healthy for my pc to be doing these hard restarts
DIV crashed my pc constantly.
Lowered some video settings and havenāt had a crash since.
My PC started crashing today while running D4.
I havenāt had any crashing issues up to this point on PC.
ASUS TUF RTX 3090 Ti water cooled. Same thing, I lose my screen and sound stays stuck on a loop. Temps are great.
I have the same problem with Asus 3060. Never any crashes with full settings on any other game, let that be FPS, RTS, etc. Only Diablo IV. 2-3 hard crashes per day (requiring 2 reboots sometimes) and then the jittering and crashing. I use Alt-Tab to go to desktop and back to bring back the fps - even in monster battles ![]()
Everything is properly updated softwarewise, etc.
When will Blizzard fix this? No matter what graphics settings I use in Diablo, I can tell, when my computer will freeze to death⦠![]()
Same here. Canāt play since patch last Friday. Thatās an entire week for a game Iāve paid 90 bugs. Iām getting a crash back to the desktop when choosing a character without any error. ![]()
CPU: I9 12900k
RAM 32Gig
RTX 3080 TI on 536.40 driver
Never had any problems before the fing 1.0.3.42 Patch last Friday. Get your $%&/() s**t together!
Fenris => 40C0A32E-8BF0-484D-BA3E-F3FDE15005D2
Mine keeps crashing this morning. I canāt even get into the game.
