Anyone doing escalating dungeons?

outside the usual novelty, has anyone found them fun or rewarding?

not here…

I wish I could say that I have been doing them, but that would require the Sigils dropping and they just don’t. I can’t complete my current journey step due to this and it’s getting really tiresome.

I’ve completed two. Only two since that is all the sigils for that event I’ve found

I’ve done a few, I think Astaroth may be a little over tuned early on, especially with the negative affects of the sigil once you get to him. However he becomes a push over obviously when you’re geared. The issue is you can easily go through all 3 dungeons, beat the bosses/objectives, then you fight him and it’s like a Lair Boss on steroids without the immunity phases.

Volcano with raining meteors, where you have to literally run around the arena dodging his waves of fire and red circles of death on the ground, so there’s no where to stand… Yea, lots of fun. Basically incentivizes people to not try them again until they’re well overgeared.

Blizzard needs to hire someone competent to make their “”“hard”“” bosses.

i don’t do them no more, both the loot and exp sucks so only worth doing to complete the reward track. probably the worst season event yet.

I like it.

Could it be polished, perhaps, most things don’t have a ceiling for improvements as long as one has a imagination.

and if you haven’t crafted many NMD sigils, i suggest you do, I won’t spoil it, but there may be more affix’s than you realise that are very rare and well for me it was fun.

My suggestion would be to add lair boss spawns in the rotation as very rare end of escalation rooms. Some may pitch a fit when they die though and fail a one off run, but me i like it gritty. :person_shrugging:

I have actually really enjoyed them. It let’s you keep flowing a bit longer which is nice.

Idk if anything is rewarding anymore for me in S9 after 8 hours in T4. Ive already aquired the gear thats likely not going to get upgraded unless its perfect.

Biggest problem is rewards are front loaded on a silver plater which makes the game feel cheap and not rewarding.

Yo for real about Asteroth. He must have an absolute ton of HP. I’ve watched player after player get bushwacked by him. Some of them dont know what to do, i.e. with the pools of blood for example, but he can take a beating.

Yeah I think they are a lot of fun. I wish that the end bosses in each dungeon got progressively harder and I also wish Astaroth was harder.

But hey, its better than the old NMD.

I think you are honestly blessed with excellent RNG, season after season. I’m in T3 with many boss killed and lots of time in, I havent seen a mythic drop nor do I have a 2GA or 3GA. I’m not complaining about it, but season after season I dont have the luck you do. You should be in Vegas.

I dont think the 2 or 3GA’s are going to make me significantly better, but unfortunately I now have to run the borefest that is the pit to level gylphs to get me into T4. yay

I’ve done several in Eternal and they were all “meh”…

It took a very short time to complete and the rewards were underwhelming. I will most definitely salvage them if I ever get them again…not worth my time nor effort.

It is what it is. :woman_shrugging:

Possibly. I have a full stash tab of 2-3ga (that arnt garbage) for S9.

I try to be as efficient as possible tho, so my play style may not be the same as others. I have a circuit I do that includes ToW, HT, IH, NMD and pit.

I just boss farm in the first few days of the season normally get the mythics I need and move on. This season I havnt gotten a shako yet but I did get a 3ga unique for the ice shard build. So shako would really only increase survivability if I had any interest in pushing past pit 110. I find the pit a linear slog because its way to streamlined.

I have done several of them I still have sigils in may stash. I would give them to you if I could.

I do a similar rota with content myself but don’t have near the same amount of gear that you have. I do find it sufficient enough however and never run out of gild or mats along the way. I usually push for a few 2GA and stop chasing. When I boss farm I build up 3 stacks of each of lesser boss mats and run those down until half a stack remains and run whatever greater boss mats down to a handful.

I end up with a dozen or so mythics after a few weeks of this method and plenty of runes which I also end up gambling and crafting the mythics I actually want.

People focus too much on one or two things at endgame and neglect to go all of the activities. When they come up short on mats and short on luck as a result that’s when they come here to complain about drops. Engage with all the content and overcome the bad luck by giving yourself more chances. That’s all you can do in an RNG based game. Play until your luck changes.

This. ^

I’ve done 2… and have keys for 3 more in my bag.

Yep, recently Ive broken my cycle to focus on trying to tripple crit mw on my wepon and now im getting low on FS, so I will need to restart my circuit if I want to continue MW because obducite drops in abundance and when you reset 100s of times FS tends to deminish quickly especially mw 8-12

I do a little bit of everything when I hop on for the day. Unless I am farming for something specific. Then, I hyperfixate on that one piece of content until I have what I came for.

I’m enjoying it. It’s nothing spectacular, but the Burning Buchers was a great challenge in T2… I managed to kill him, but it was difficult. The fight against Asteroth is very good.

-It’s a shame we can’t create the sigils as we want, perhaps at a cost of runes… gold… etc.
