I was playing then my game disconnected and it appeared that my character got deleted. Now i’m in a 35 minute queue 
I’m betting they kicked everyone to improve the queue system. I actually have a timer with 28 minutes now, which seems a lot more likely than 2 minutes.
Just got kicked after Authentication, a 40-minute wait, and now the Q is 45 minutes.
Exacxtly the same thing happend to me, the character menu is black and cannot create a new one so I had to restart the game and now in queue 35 mins.

Im staying at character screen. but maybe you gotta restart? i dunno.
Waited for 40 mins in “authentication pending”, then got the “there was a problem logging in” and the game closed. Trying to reconnect, now the queue is over 55 mins…

Been waiting for a while. keep getting timed out
Yada yada, we know its the BETA but for ffs, server drops, can’t access character, restart client now a 56 min wait…guess I’ll go puff puff pass to kill some time. What a joke.
My play button is not even open for me in the Battle app. It’s still locked at my end.
This is what has happened to me since 4pm. My brother and his friend got in without any issue, I get stuck at Authenticate, sat there for 25 minutes then got “There was a problem logging in” Now stuck in 25m queue, no doubt just to drop to authenticate again. Blizzard are a small indie company though.
Restart the battle net client. Boom you’ll be good.
I tried restarting everything twice, still stuck. It’s amazing how I can watch all these people playing online, even exiting and reloading into the game.

I got through the queue and the start button popped up and kicked me out several times. Hit play again and it went back to the queue for a minute then kicked me out again. Waited a few minutes to try again and now I am in a greater than 60 minute queue after it told me that there are no servers available to ping. Sigh…
yep that did it. I wish I could have thought about that before coming here in the forums. LOL I am just in queue now for 97 minutes. This was to be expected.
Even after everyone was disconnected, I’m back to the “Authentication Pending” for several minutes…
Don’t be so hard on Blizzard.
Not like they could have counted the preorders and made sure the servers could withstand the onslaught…
