Any reason to roll anything besides Barbarian?

My Bash barb hits for 50-60 million damage, 2-3 swings per second. I 1 shot every trash mob in T80 (greater rifts, call them what they are), only the boss takes more than 1 hit.

My Golem Necro hits for 32 million once every 8 seconds…IF I’m standing on the target (not counting RNG CDR) while the other minions literally stand around and do nothing because the level design has the elites standing in doorways. And, by the way, if the enemy AI was a bad as the necro minion AI this game would have been DOA.

Had fun leveling a couple classes to 100, definitely an improvement, what is the intended gameplay?

Single button Barb/Rogue builds that hit so hard you 1 shot everything but U. Lilith every season of D4, or like actually dodging enemy mechanics with every other class?

I don’t understand how we can be a year into this thing and the endgame balance/comparison between classes feels this incongruous.

Barb farmed up a HC and MW it to 12 (10,000,000 gold for MW 12 btw) so I have every boss on farm 12 days into the season. It’s fun, love it, not sure why every class isn’t made this fun.

I loved this, thank you for the chuckle

The game just sucks and the people working on it aren’t able or authorized to make it better.

Play whatever is fun to you. Im enjoying FO sorce. I freeze faces off at 400k-1.3m a tick which stacks up quite quickly.

If you want to play an interesting character play something other than the barb. Barbarians seem to be the most powerful, but also kind of boring. You just one hit smash everything. I just did a few 20 minute epic battles with my necromancer on tormented ubers and it was fun. Last season played a bard and could 1 hit kill uber duriel, 1 hit kill uber lilith. I keep thinking they will try to balance it but every season is the same, a maxed barb can just one hit everything. I did that one season and that was enough for me. I prefer to play sorcerer and necromancer even though they are not the strongest. That said minion necromancer is pretty good this season so I can finally play that end game.

We don’t know either, because the devs didn’t bother telling us why Bash is so special. Flurry gets a size radius increase, but no extra damage, while Bash is apparently multiplicative. Gee, I don’t know why one of those is at the top and one is at the bottom.

This right here is honestly one of my biggest complaints. Having zero control over the behavior of my minions annoys me to no end. Something as simple as a single force action keybind so I can say “hey, move here” or “hey, attack this guy 50 feet away that is making the entire room tanky AF”

Right now the highest pit clear is by a necromancer at 139. That build was hitting in the 100 billion range. That’s not to say barbs aren’t powerful, I’ve played a barb every season.

I guess the answer is play what you enjoy. I’m not playing bash, playing a basic skill build just doesn’t seem interesting even if it is stronger than my dust devils build. If people don’t enjoy barbs then that’s fine.

We all know holy bolts is bugged for necros. Without it, their highest pit clear is significantly lower than the highest non holy bolts barb.

Bash is probably the most mechanically boring build I’ve ever played in an arpg. Basic skill indeed.

I’m just curious, what would be your Tier list for the classes as they currently stand, this evening before the Tuesday patch?

Barbs have 200k-300k hp…sorcs max at like 20k. Even with stacking armor, DR gear, and the like you just instant die to random crap.

If you aren’t playing FB/FS you’re just unreasonably gimped. And that build maxes at 119 pit because the boss damage just isn’t there.

You’re only truly viable option is necro or barb this season because the devs are smokin crack again.

Necro needs to rely on the season potion though. There are viable builds for rogue and druid too, but it’s quite imbalance among the classes on both ofdense and defense. My bigger issue is that for each class, one build outperforms the rest and the difference is in digit.

I play both necro and rogue. After pit 90, necro has the chance of sudden death from all sorts of things when out of mist; my rogue has 50k hp and high dodge chance, I barely dodge the attacks and just face tank…

This is exactly what I feel about Bash except I don’t even want to play it.

It’s also the most visually underwhelming build.

Sure, but even without holy bolt cheese a necro still hits 50m dps higher than the best sorc build and has 4x the survivibility.

Pretty much everything over sorc is super viable, sorc on the other hand relies on 3 builds to even do 100s comfortably and has massive downsides to them one of them being the FS/FB build requires super specific gear to even reach perma flame shield and then loses insane dps.

Fun fact is that all clases having nice builds are due to the lack of proper programming, allowed bugs, letting a skill being multiplied times one thousand. When it was an increase. Victimize triple, Double dipping, all clases are poorly designed, so they can do any damage cuz devs have no clue about how to math skills in this half baked game and they have to rely on a whoopsie moment. Lmao.

You can make golem build with almost no CD and you can just spam golem attack in DMG window your create.

Bone spirit hits for 350+mln and you also bring its cd down to 2-3sec. Not every hit will be 350mln cause it works on overpower but with banish lord talizman you can eaisly overpower each second attack.

i know some ppl dont wanna hear it, but barbs are overdue for nerfs, so are negros. theres rly no point in discussing this further.

unfortunately the ARPG gaming comm in general thinks every reasonable change (yes, nerfs can be a reasonable change) is ‘uNfUn’
