Got one character to max level and I realized there’s no point in playing the game anymore. I’ve spent the last couple weeks logging in just to log back out within 5 minutes. There’s just no incentive to play anymore which is giving D3 vibes. I tried to give Blizzard a chance but once again they just can’t deliver. I’ll be happy to forget all about Blizzard and their bs
You aren’t wrong - the game can’t hold players attention and I usually don’t even make it to logging in. I just look at the launcher, post on the forum, and then play D3. That is where I disagree with you, but I can understand where you are coming from on that statement.
You are wrong. You are lying about your level. Filthy.
I hit max level without doing any experience exploits before they buffed nm dungeons but that still doesn’t change the fact that the incentive to push nm dungeons doesn’t exist and continuously playing a game with memory leaks and nothing to do is pointless
If there was an AH that you could use the coin earned on your main character to twink out your alt and make it a fun leveling experience and it might encourage people to play more after they reach max lvl. That particular carrot kept me going in wow for years. Instead we have level locked items and no AH. This single addition to the game would give it a bit of extra life.
I had two weeks off right after release and played SO much, I’m level 96 on my main now and have alts around 50 ready to roll.
You must have played a similar amount which is far far far above the target/average audience.
Really can’t blame Blizzard for our degeneracy. We won. We raced through the initial content and beat the game.
This is exactly why seasons are a good thing for longevity (which some people clearly don’t understand, yet). While I wait for S1 I’m farming gear sets to try different builds and deciding which alt I want to juice up.
I’m not personally mad at Blizzard about it.
Have very much enjoyed my hundreds of hours so far and I can see hundreds more to come.
Same here except D3 in its current state is more fun. Nm dungeons just feel like bad rifts with a boss who takes a long time to die and deals no damage. That’s pretty much all there is for end game. The other stuff is more so mid game. I made it to level 77, but I realized there is nothing to strive towards earlier than that. I hope it changes. There is a lot wrong with this game.
I feel the same way, got a druid to 100, didnt have any interest or motivation to play it anymore, made a necro and got it too 100 then didn’t feel like playin it anymore. I’m not creating a 3rd character, just going to wait for season 1. D4 just doesnt have a real end game yet, the game is unfinished, we still in beta.
At least in D3 I had fun and interest to continue to play after max level.
Why do you have to play a single game indefinitely? This isn’t the year 2000 where you no life a single game because only a handful exist.
If trading didn’t suck and we had a crafting system the game wouldn’t feel as bad as it does.
The good news is that as D4’s population dwindles, D3 is actually becoming more active again, lol.
There are 4 other classes to play and there will be seasons and expansions in the near future. I’d be bored, too, if I played D4 like a job.
You can already twink your alts. They skip the campaign, start with 10 skill points, have access to insane amounts of gold, can use already unlocked / passed down aspects, and get all the lilith stats.
Maybe just try making another character rather than complaining about how making a new character could be even easier?
Four other classes that don’t interest me in the slightest.
I think they released the game in such a barebones state not expecting many people to hit 100 by season 1 launch
Normally I don’t have faith in blizzard, but I think season 1 is going to be a lot bigger than we think, and add a lot of content.
They are wanting a live service, seasonal game… yet released the game with zero content… I guarantee they withheld a lot for season 1 to set the bar high and come out swinging
