Almost shy to ask for this... Auto-salvaging Shredder pets?

I’m still stunned about the upcoming changes, or I mean, Diablo 5. They still haven’t fixed the “Greater Affix graveyard system” commonly known as Tempering, but so much of the game will be changed that I’m wondering if that will be an issue.

I know it has been asked before, but I wanted to create another useless post about it, it’s my narcissist support group that suggest it.

Let’s not digress, I might talk about my ex wives soon. On a serious note, I wanted to bring more into this discussion. The shredder pets, I mean, not the ex wives. Plural. If you are a real gamer and not divorced at least twice, you are doing it wrong.

After a few weeks in a season, many that still play (i.e. the minority in this forum) will start alt characters, and during some activities, we will waste quality time (I mean, not looking for a 4th wife is actual quality time for me), just to salvage stuff. We have limited stash space due to multiple characters. Salvaging becomes quite a waste of time.

Masterworking and Affix rerolling requires a lot of materials, hence, since we can earn a lot of gold in the Hordes, we can salvage everything else. But it means going back to town, salvage, come back to the activity (i.e. Tormented Bosses, Helltides, NMDs, etc…).

How pets should be able to shred stuff items from a configurable quality and lower.

At this point, I should ask my dog (sorry but cat’s can’t fetch, dogs rule), to shred anything without a greater affix.

It would simply save us time to do more activity. It’s quite annoying to do simply go back to town, run, flag for junk, salvage, go back to activity.

Give us shredder pets, please.

I completely agree with you, it’s long overdue. The thing is that there’s players that enjoy picking up loot, and port to town to salvage. Even though there’s an option to not use a pet, they’re still against it.
